We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and it was clear they put a lot of care into it. Our room was perfect – clean, cozy, with a very comfortable bed. It was also surprisingly quiet, which we really appreciated. The location is exceptional – just steps away from the main street and the castle, yet tucked away from the noise. Highly recommend!

Lovely staff, amazing breakfast and really cozy room. Hotel is in a great location, close to the ruins and main park. We were travelling with 2 dogs and we didn't have any problems with our stay in the hotel which is a great plus :) We enjoyed our stay in hotel (and Cesis itself) so much, we were sad we could stay only for 1 night.

Nothing sticks out. It's a great hotel. Our timing for Cesis itself could have been a little better, as some of the town closes for the winter. We couldn't get into the ruins.

This hotel is a hidden gem, much like Cesis itself. It's a lovely litte town, and the hotel was wonderful. I think we were the only two people staying, but the hotel owner greeted us. For breakfast the next day, the lady serving what was a very hearty breakfast, was friendly. We think the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in, and was definately one of the most comfortable. We slept very well on our stay. We were able to leave out luggage while we explored Cesis the day we checked out, and when we picked the bags up, we had a nice chat with the manager in his broken English and our broken German - but somehow we made each other laugh. He has a cute cat called Maurice too. :-)

Chose this hotel based on the reviews, that the breakfast were great/excellent and was expecting a continental breakfast buffee. When we arrived at breakfast, our table was set and it had small selection with cold cuts, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, couple bread slices and a boiled egg. Option to order a tea or coffee. Definitely not what I was expecting from all the reviews where the breakfast was described as great/excellent. Would be nice to have multiple towels per person and a hand towel.

The bed, blanket and pillows where very comfy, had a great sleep. Option to open window and let fresh breeze in. Location was close city center and bus/train station but still on a quite street. Option to request another blanked if necessary.

The beds are a tiny bit on the harder side.

The family who run this small hotel could not have been more lovely and hospitable. It is spotless, with a delicious homecooked breakfast (with eggs from their hens and homemade applesauce with apples from their garden for the pancakes. Plenty of parking and just off the center of town (5 minute walk). Would definitely recommend it and we would happily return, especially to visit Morris, the hotel's resident cat.

In a great location with a view over the countryside, with fantastic sunsets and hot air ballooning. Within walking distance of trains, buses, cafes, parks, restaurants, shops, castle, museums and churches. The hotel is so quiet, I just loved it. The breakfast was fresh and really delicious. The really lovely owners made me feel very comfortable and at home. I wish to highly recommend the Province Hotel.
