Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaI had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The space is peaceful and quiet, with all the essentials provided for a comfortable visit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the self check-in process made my arrival very convenient. My only suggestion is to upgrade the TV to a larger size, but overall it was a delightful experience.

LithuaniaApartments on first floor so on one side view is to the a bit busy street and on the other to internal yard - a bit lack of privacy as passers buy can look in, but drawing the curtains help :)
Nice location, small shop just around the corner, nice places to eat out within 15-20 minutes by foot. Apartment has everything you might need. Was quite warm even in start of February.

Finland- if you stay longer than 1 day, you need to clean the apartment daily as the corridor is not only a place for your shoes but also it also connects the living room with the kitchen (so you carry dirt back and forth), there is nothing you can do about it apart from may be a shoe rack for owners to buy so that all shoes stay in one place - shower is aging and needs renovation (toilet is shaky, tiles are cracked, shower needs replacement (it costs a bit over 100€ so I were the owner, I would replace it without hesitation) - there are coffee filters but no coffee machine - too few electric sockets in the apartment (not enough if you have many devices), so a few extension cords would be great to have - double bed turns into two separate beds which is handy I assume, but when you use it as double bed beds slide away from each other even with a thin mattress on top of them so you wake up few times at night to slide them back together (or may be it’s just us) - if you come by car - parking along the road gets crowded in the evening so make sure you come early to secure a place else you may end up driving around looking for a spot. there are other reviews telling about smashed eggs for foreign cars at the inner yard, so we decided not to test this option
good location (30 min walk to the old city or 8 min taxi ride). Small Rimi near by with a good selection of foods, washing machine and dishwasher make life easier. good value for money overall off-season (naturally gets more expensive during summer, in which case there are other alternatives)

PolandParking is a little weird, some one was shouting at me "why am I here" like if I took someone place, and I was behind the second gate. I think someone throw an egg on my car but it was snowing so much so I only noticed yellow something when sweeping the snow. It did not kill my trip at all :)
Great value for money, spacious, separate kitchen. It was winter time and apartment was super hot. Host respond in minutes. Well kept flat. The shop is right next for supplies and few steps to get a tram.

United KingdomFor some reason I felt very hot and humid in the apartment even with windows open. The washing machine detergent slot cannot be opened as the kitchen cabinet it's in is blocking it so I had to add the powder to the drum directly which was a bit tricky and ended up leaving some powder on my clothes after. The kitchen could also use better knives and a dish rack but I used the kitchen towel instead. My biggest problem was the bed. I don't know what it was exactly, a bit too soft for me and somehow too hot under the duvet so I couldn't get to sleep until nearly morning. This might just be a personal preference though. I walked from the nearest train station and the area around there is very runned down and dodgy (same as the station) though obviously nothing apartment owner can control about either of these.
The apartment inside is decent and quiet. The host was very kind to let me check out later as my train wasn't going to leave until couple of hours later and there was nothing I could do with my luggage until then. I needed to use the washing machine and there was some powder left for me to use which was also appreciated. If you like vegan, check out tiny Doctor Chef, 2 blocks away. Amazing food and nice ladies there who chatted with me while preparing the dish.

Czech RepublicFirst big no is the smell of cigaretes in the bedroom and even worse on the porch. It seamed like the kind of smell that is there for a longer time. The walls should have been painted 5 years ago. The parts thats should be white are yellow or graybrown. It is not an argument for a good price not to paint walls every few years. The wallpaper has also seen better days. At the arrival I felt really ashamed that I took my wife in such a place.
The apartment was well equiped. I really apreciate the effort of the owner to have everything useful avaliable. There is even ironing board, iron, washing machine, hairdryer, detergents, kitchen towel, frying pan, toaster. From this point of view it is pure heaven. Bed was comfortable, but I would really apreciate two separate blankets on double bed. I can say it is quiet neighborhood and besides someone dropping Thor's hammer from time to time on the floor in the upper apartment, the flat is also calm place after all. New bathroom is very nice, the only thing is water leaking from the shower box , even if you try hard not to make a mess.

SlovakiaThe hot water wasn't running. Or I just couldn't find out how to make it work. In summer it would be okay, but in winter it's not so good. Also one of the remote controls didn't have bateries, so you had to switch them between the two when you wanted to watch the TV.
Safe, quiet place. Very nice and neat bedroom, comfy bed. I was also glad I didn't have to take any towels or shampoos with me, since it was all there.

AustraliaCity centre was 2.5kms away so location not great - public transport was convenient though. There was a bad smell (possibly animal urine) in both the bedroom and kitchen. Previous guests had also mentioned this in reviews. The biggest issue was the bedsheet - it did not fit the bed, was too small - it only covered the top of the mattress and could not be tucked in. Every time I moved I needed to wrestle with the sheet so I didn't end up lying on the bare mattress, which is unhygienic and unpleasant. Bathroom tiles need regrouting (broken grout and mould) and some floor tiles were cracked and uneven it felt like the floor was unsupported. Water pressure in the shower was poor. Apart from a minimarket, there were no shops or eateries in the vacinity.
Having a washing machine and clothes rack for drying clothes was good. TV had some English language channels. Price was good.
