The only downside is the hard, worn-out beds that creak when you turn onto your side. It was difficult to sleep through the night because I kept waking up from those sounds.

Wonderful countryside-style guesthouse, full of various books, artworks, and artists’ tools. This place has an artistic atmosphere. A cat lives in the guesthouse. The staff are very kind and helpful.

Location is amazing, on the area of Rundāles pils, the castle. That old house is very nice, interesting. K Very clean. The staff was excellent with good english, very friendly and polite. The young man was even happy to be allowed to carry my luggage! "It does not happen so often", he said. Breakfast was all enough you need, in a candle light. In the morning we were inside the castle - much more than I expected! Very beautiful, thousands of paintings, furniture.

Only lukewarm water to take a shower with. Bedlinen could use a little upgrade.

Great location to visit the Rundales palace. Excellent price for the quality of the room. We read reviews about noise, but these must have been light sleepers as we heard some noises, yet nothing that was not acceptable. Helpful host that guided us to a great restaurant in Bauska.

I was not expecting a hotel - it is a guesthouse. With that in mind, I have no complaints.

Very beautiful site, building and overall big countryside dream vibes. Next to a cool palace! Extra points for a cat that guards the property :) Breakfast was also worth it!

The place is very nice and the bedroom is quite big and clean. We have a little kitchen with all you need. We take the breakfast for 9 euro and is very good with choice. The personel is very nice and helpful

Everything was just as described. The guesthouse has a unique and charming atmosphere—it’s the kind of place you either love or don’t. I personally really enjoyed both the vibe and the location of the place (so close to Rundāle Palace). The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts (a mother and son) were kind and helpful. The historic room with antiques and book shelves provided a unique sense of history.The beds were very comfortable and I felt truly rested in the morning.The hostess,Solveiga ,was a real gem with a warm heart and genuine readiness to help.Breakfast was simple but the puffed pancake-sized omelet was unusually tasty.Solveiga told us the secret procedure for such an outcome.The adjoining restaurant for supper was another positive experience.

Charming and full of character . Great location right next to castle and peaceful surroundings - garden , lake . Useful to have the kitchen and hostel style living area . There is a good grocery shop 2 mins walk away .

Wonderful, different hotel when visiting Rundāles castle. We had a big room with bathroom and loved it. Breakfast was available at the hotel’s restaurant. There was a lounge for visitors with a well equipped kitchen.

Staying here for a second time. Wonderful owner, old house full of atmosphere and homely vibes. Well equipped kitchen and a possibility to sit comfortably together with friends in the evening. Not to mention the location which is fabulous.

The stairs to the bedroom levels are a bit of a challenge

A big old and homely wooden house, ideally located for a music night in the palace: just near the bus stop for Bauska and a short lovely walk to the palace and the gardens. Spacious parking place for car travellers too and lots of cosy nooks to relax or have a snack in the garden.

Stairs up to the room rather steep and narrow made carrying our heavy bags up quite challenging. Few dining options in the immediate area.

This was a wonderful place for a very reasonable price. Simple accommodations, quite eclectic with many interesting antiques. It was the former servants house for Rundale Pils, which we thought was quite interesting. The owner was very welcoming and made us an absolutely delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay here again should our travels take us to the area.
