    Nothing.

Amazing glamping facilities. Really large comfortable beds and good bathroom. All exceptionally clean. Organised to meet us at the entrance road in a 4x4 as the road is very bumpy. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Amila, who looked after us from start to finish. Definitely recommend full board as the food was fantastic (and nowhere nearby to go for dinner). They organised our safari, at much more reasonable prices than other hotels/companies and woke us for our early start with a coffee, which was hugely appreciated.

The perfect 2 night stay in Yala

This is a small dwelling of two Safari tents and it was wonderful to be able to remove ourselves from the busier areas and really enjoy being in the middle of nowhere enjoying the peace of nature. The tents were very spacious, very comfortable and clean. What makes this place even more special is the staff. They couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind and helpful. The food and service was amazing and even in the middle of a thunderstorm they brought us our high tea to our tent! The safari they arranged was also fab and in particular Isuru who was very knowledgeable and explained everything. We could’ve asked for more…

The main criticism would be that the rooms got pretty hot at night and probably would benefit from slightly more in the way of fans. The other thing is the access road is quite difficult for anything other than the 4x4 which made it a bit difficult to arrange a car to pick us up at the end of the trip. That said, the guys were incredibly helpful and arranged for a 4x4 to text to the end of the road.

This was a really lovely glamping experience. We stayed here with our two children who had a very nice time. The rooms are beautifully finished in polish concrete and everything is immaculately clean. The staff were amazing and really really attentive.

Nothing really. You sleep in a hut so there will be more (nature) noise. We had a lovely stay and a great night.

The hut is located 5min of the main road. They await you by jeep. Once arrived the welcome is very warm and friendly from the whole team. The hut itself is very clean with a nice bathroom and roomy sleeping area. Our lunch, diner and breakfast was very local and tasty. We had Madu as our personal nature guide and he was amazing. The first day we did a nature walk around the camp site, the second day he accompanied us to the national park. He has some great knowledge of the animals and also of Sri Lanka. His English is also very good, making communication even easier.

Staying in a tent during our safari was an unforgettable experience! The tent was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere in the heart of nature. The staff were absolutely amazing – so kind, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The highlight of the evening was the delicious vegetarian dinner, which was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, it was a perfect blend of adventure and comfort, with excellent service and great food. Also the jeep provided for the safari was very comfortable, making the whole trip even more enjoyable .

A touching authentic stay in the wild

The Wi-fi was terribly slow but not impossible. The road to the camp site was a catastrophe and we didn't get the message about the pick up point before our poor taxi driver had driven all the way and almost wrecked his car - we felt terrible for this incident.

Where to start.. this stay really went straight to our hearts <3 From the second we arrived Madu and his crew took great care of my husband and I. We had half board but opted for lunch on the property as well. The lunch serving and evening BBQ was some of the best meals we had on the entire trip. We also did two safaris arranged by the property and this worked really well. Madu the "all around guy" was also our safari guide and all though he was new at the job at Yala Wild Hut, he was very vigilant and professional. He never left our side whenever outside the tents, I guess for service and safety and we never felt unsafe at any time. This whole experience of staying in the wild and getting to know these people and their story really touched us deeply. We are so grateful for this authentic experience!

Yalla hut is in the middle of the jungle. The staff was very accommodating, especially Isuru. The food was delicious and very big portions, maybe could have been a littler hotter. The beds were very comfortable.

We had an incredible stay at Yala Wild Hut. From the moment we booked, the communication was excellent—they reached out via WhatsApp with all the necessary details, making everything easy and straightforward. Upon arrival, we were picked up by jeep from the entrance, as the road to the campsite is a bit rough, but it’s only a 5-minute ride. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks, and the staff assisted us with our luggage. The food was delicious—lunch was flavorful and a bit spicy for our taste, but still very tasty. After lunch, we took a complementary walk around the campsite, which was a great way to enjoy the surroundings. We then watched a stunning sunset while enjoying some snacks prepared by the staff. The host was incredibly friendly, attentive, and polite, making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Dinner was also fantastic, and the following morning, we went on a safari. While we didn’t have luck spotting leopards, we saw elephants, crocodiles, birds, deer, and peacocks. The safari was a memorable experience, though the driver seemed a bit rushed at times. Before the safari, we were served coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. Afterward, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and the staff arranged our transportation back. The jeep took us to the entrance, and once again, the staff helped with our luggage. The hut itself was charming, well-maintained, and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the large bathroom had everything we needed. The location truly made us feel immersed in nature while still providing all the comforts. There were also friendly and well-behaved dogs on the property, adding to the homely feel. Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at Yala Wild Hut and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, nature-filled stay with great hospitality!

Thankyou for the most wonderful stay at Yala Wild Hut. The location is so beautifully isolated and you have a real sense of being in nature … the stars at night were incredible. The team at Wild Hut were fantastic: understated unobtrusive exceptionally attentive.. Isuru was a wonder : full of knowledge about the environment and taught us the importance of “ knowing what you’re looking for “ when spotting wild life in the park. We felt safe and looked out forat all times whilst also feeling free to explore this incredible place for ourselves. Sunset on the rock playing cards drinking tea and listening to the wildlife will be a cherished memory forever . Thankyiu Yala Wild Hut and especially Isuru the lucky for a truly magical stay J🙏🏽 the food was great especially the lunchtime curry and the bbq too , and communication pre and during stay was excellent, and very helpful with arranging transport .

Just note it’s on a dirt track road a little off the main paved road and it’s part of the wildlife area so little can be done to preserve the road and no signage so ensure you get the property WhatsApp number and they can pick you up from the main road if you don’t want to risk your car getting to the property. We did this and it was fine

The location is great if you want a safari to Yala national park. It’s on the same road close to the entrance and your driver can pick you up at the accommodation or the accommodation also do safari. We had a bonfire and dinner under the stars in the wilderness so exactly what we were looking for. It’s a canvas tent over stone foundations so if that’s what you expect you will love it, don’t expect a hotel. The staff were also very kind and couldn’t do enough for you. If you leave early then they can do a packed breakfast

    Nothing it was perfect.

We LOVED the team that helped us organise our safari and stay at Yala Wild Huts. We loved the glamping style and aesthetic of the tent. It's VERY close to the Yala Park entrance which means it's much easier to get a spot in line to enter the park than other places. They also served us an incredible seafood bbq one night for our entire group of friends and brought us tea before our early morning safari tours 100 percent recommend for groups of friends or families looking to experience Yala Park. It had full power and the food they served was delicious, the whole team was responsive and extremely kind.

The bathroom is quite basic but has everything you need. The camp has the perfect location to visit Yala Nationalpark but there is not a lot you can do apart from this.

The camp is located right next to Yala Nationalpark surrounded by nature. There is a rock next to the camp on which we were served evening tea with a super scenic sunset. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was really amazing.
