This charming hotel is set away from all the hustle and bustle, surrounded by rice fields and near a lake. Don’t miss the short walk there—it’s more of a pleasant stroll—with countless birds, a breathtaking sunset, and wonderful explanations from a hotel staff member who also guided us on safari the next morning. His deep knowledge of nature and sharp eye allowed us to spot wild animals we would have otherwise never seen. A truly unique moment was watching a monitor lizard drink from the pool. The Rice and Curry is also highly recommended—authentic, plentiful, and delicious

The photos do not do this place justice! Rooms are fantastic, clean, comfortable and well stocked with all the basics. Pool was super clean. Food was some of the best we had during our entire holiday. Staff especially the host Mandul were so friendly. We even spent the evening drinking with Mandul and learning about his family and Sri Lankan culture. Cottages are a little way from the main strip of restaurants if walking in the dark but we were given a ride on the back of their scooter and got a Tuk Tuk home easily. An unbeatable experience!

The rooms were very comfortable and the pool was perfect for dipping into on a hot day. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and we had a wonderful stay with fantastic meals too.

It was a great visit! The hotel is situated in a nice area with a possibility to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One of the staff members took us on a walk to look for crocodiles, birds and unusual plants. Great opportunity to explore the rural area. The food was good as well as the pool.

This place is a true heaven in sri lanka. Its like jungle style with beutiful pool and wonderful garden. We didnt eat but tripadvisor says they have one of best restaurants. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. Also pool is big and clean for swimming. Owner can arrange you safari in yala (but yala safari for my opinion is waste of money, overcrowded and we hardly saw any animal).

Bumpy ride to get to the place and a bit out of the closest town but it didn't matter as it was a great spot to relax and eat anyway.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Took us on a walk around the lake, organised a safari and kept our 2 year old constantly supplied with banana's. The room was also bigger than expected with and additional small room we didn't see in the photos with a fridge and kettle.

Sadly the driver of the organized safari had very limited english skills. The place is a bit off the main part, but to be honest, there aren't more restaurant in the 'city' so eating at the hotel is perfectly fine. The mosquito net was too small for the bed, but with AC we had no problem with them anyways.

We had contact with the owner prior the the arrival and organized a safari with him. The safari was good, we saw many animals and the driver left the animals space if they needed or wanted to cross the road. The place itself is nice, very big houses and a huge bed. With AC nice temperature in the room. The area around the houses is well cared for and there is a nice pool and even the possibility to walk to a lake nearby (we didn't do it, as it was dark). We ate diner there and it was very nice, also the packed food for the safari was delicious.

A very quiet jungle type accommodation. Lovey cottages with lots of space and a veranda. Nice clean swimming to relax after a trek in the Jungle. One of the staff took for an evening tour around the lake. No charge, it was nice to all the wild birds. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Manju, the owner, is an official Tour Guide, so if you need help in visiting places, Manju is your man.

This is very peaceful place, few cottages in the middle of nowhere. Peacocks are walking around, you can hear birds singing all the time.

We have had a great stay: we loved the staff, food, pool, cottage and we had an excellent day safari to Yala. We saw many jeeps chasing the roads like crazy, but we were so glad ours was not one of them. We discovered Yala at a relaxed pace, enjoying all we came across. Our guide driver pointed out lots of animals, big and small. We loved all of them. As a bonus on top off a great day, we saw a leopard. Though even without the leopard it would have been excellent too. Highly recommended!

We all wished we could stay for longer!

We had the best time at yala peace gardens, a little gem outside of yala. Manju arranged a jeep safari for us where we managed to see the leopard, he also arranged a local walk down to the lake with a member of staff, I showed us unusual plants and wildlife, really worth it. Food was good, rooms were great, lovely and cool in the June soon. Staff and pool were amazing!
