Everything was perfect. Everyone of their family was very helpful friendly and helped me a lot. Breakfast and view was amazing. Do not afraid of upstairs. It is easy you get used to it. Good view fantastic vibe cant find it down points. Thanks for everything 🙂

Spacious, clean and tidy room. Comfortable bed. Views of the Ella rock and waterfall from the room. They served delicious breakfast with a huge fruit platter. The hosts Sumanapala and Sandya were exceptionally generous with their time. Sumanapala helped us take the luggage up and down the stairs, he went to town to top up my phone , made us a delicious dinner. Hosts made us feel at home. Wish we had more time at this place and explore Ella.

People talk about the steps and difficult access and this is true but the owners have a tuk tuk for luggage and we quite enjoyed the walk to town. If you are fit and able you will be absolutely fine and so worth it for the breathtaking scenery.

Owners and their sons were incredible hosts. Even taking us into town one evening. The welcome drinks and snacks were appreciated m. Breakfast served on your balcony was stunning (too much really and we actually asked for less on the second day) Views are stunning and the rooms are clean and comfortable. (True to the pictures) The double and triple with view were perfect for my family. Adjacent to one another allowed my daughter her own space.

Its a little far from the center. You can’t reach the center on foot you should definitely rent a scooter or call a cab

Travellers should just be aware that the property’s location on the mountain means access is by steep stairs. May not be suitable for some travellers. The view makes it well worth it.

The walk from the hotel to the road that goes down into Ella is very steep. I would only recommend this place to people who are mobile and don’t mind a little workout every day. The views are worth it in my opinion. It’s not difficult to get a Tuktuk into Ella Town.

The accessibility is difficult but if you carry a backpack it is not a problem. Besides, once you see the views, you realice that some stairs are not a problem.

Super comfy and clean room with stunning views of the waterfall. The breakfast is great: delicious and abundant. The owners are a lovely couple who try to help you with everything and make you feel welcome. Great value for the money.

Best view of the whole trip! We were stuck for hours just looking at it. Book this room just for the view, I swear it's worth it. Besides that, the room was great and breakfast was amazing!! The hotel is close to the city, you just need to walk next to the train tracks for about 15 minutes.

Apparently it’s not super easy to get a tuktuk to the city (from the city is ok). Though it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the city over the railway which is very scenic, so we didn’t mind at all.

Beautiful location in Ella. The view is absolutely amazing. We also had the best breakfast of over trip here: very versatile and the best fruits. Every morning I was looking forward to the food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as well. It was my birthday and they helped my friend order a cake as a surprise very last minute. Facilities and the room overall were clean and the shower was very hot, amazing! I know some people said in the reviews that it’s ‘quite a walk’. Honestly, it’s mountain area so what do you expect really… it’s very doable, just 1 minute down some stairs. This shouldn’t be a reason to not book at this amazing stay! You’ll be missing out.

It was a nice & peaceful place to spend. Waterfalls view was awesome.Food given was also tasty. I really had to mention the family that took care of us. We can’t recommend this stay enough. Owned by a fantastic local couple who do all they can to make sure our stay was comfortable and convenient (even carrying our heavy bags up and down the stairs to the room). Best breakfast we had during our two week trip - all made by the couple. The view is second to none. A short walk to town via a shortcut along the train line. We’d stay here again for sure.

Nothing not to like, but it is a bit tricky to get to, lots of steps down to the house, which means lots of steps up. But the owner carried our bags for us despite our protestations.

Owner and family are lovely and the food was absolutely marvelous, The price was very, very reasonable…very quiet and a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend!

Cannot drive up to the hotel, it is accessed by several flights of steep concrete steps which head down from a small road, which is best navigated by tuk tuk.

Lovely host, excellent breakfast, room had a beautiful balcony, spacious room with mini fridge and electric kettle.
