A very nice family, very helpful and friendly, they arranged a driver for the next days, at a very reasonable price, did our laundry and gave us lots of useful information about the location and surrounding area. Breakfast delicious and large, they were even willing to add what we ate. Would you like more yoghurt or more toast? No problem.... This is not usual and we really appreciated it. The room was clean, but to be clear, this is just about the only accommodation where we had a cockroach and a smaller huntsman in our room, but we came to Sri Lanka prepared for these situations, so it didn't happen that much, you are in the jungle, you have to expect it :)

We had two fantastic nights at this small, idyllic place with a fantastic view. It’s very simple, charming, and authentic. The family are incredibly helpful and welcoming, and they will do everything they can to give you the best possible experience. Breakfast is also excellent and it’s different every day.

The Welcome Inn is run by a sweet, young family who do their utmost best to make you feel right at home. Rooms are spacious and clean, in front you have a terrace with an amazing mountain view. The place is located just outside Ella , guess 5-10 minutes walk, which makes it nice and quiet at night (It is handy to bring a flash light). One of the reasons to go here is the breakfast.The welcome inn likes to spoil you and with that postcard perfect view makes for a very memorable stay. We really enjoyed our stay at welcome inn.

The hospitality provided by the owner and her family. They were considerate and easy. Never said No for requests related to eating one more slice of toast, omlette. They offered us spare plastic bottles to fill water. They were kind and lovely hosts.

Welcome inn is one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka! Not only It has a amazing views to the mountains and a nice location near to the center of Ella, but also the family who run the hotel is very friendly and kind. Even the hosts kindly helped us to arrange a excursion to Ella's rock when no others guides were availables. It was a lovely experience and much appreciated!" The breakfast is really good!!

We had the pleasure of staying at Welcome Inn in Ella for 3 nights, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The Sri Lankan couple hosting the place are some of the kindest and most genuine people we’ve met on our travels. Their hospitality is unmatched – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Every morning began with a top-notch complimentary breakfast – fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. We also had dinner at the property all three nights and were amazed by the quality and taste each time. Their authentic rice and curry is a must-try – full of flavor and prepared with love. We got our laundry done here at nominal prices, we got recommendations for the local sight seeing, got a cab to our next destination on the property recommendation. The view from the property is stunning, offering a peaceful and scenic escape, especially in the mornings and during sunset. Overall, this place is incredibly cost-efficient, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is homely. If you’re planning to visit Ella and come across this stay in your search – consider yourself lucky and book it without a second thought!

It is a very great accommodation provided by a super hospitable owner. From the terrace the view is spectacular! The room is very clean and spacious. There is no AC, but it has a fan and mosquito net. Big gallon of water was provided for the guests. The breakfast was very nice and filling!

Really friendly host, he even woke up super early on our last day and provided us with a pack up to take on the train! Lovely accommodation which was clean and spacious with a yummy breakfast. A short walk up the hill into Ella which is nice because you’re close but also far enough away for it to be peaceful with lovely views and a great balcony. The host lives on site with his family who are very sweet. He organised transport for us which was also very helpful.

The hosts are the sweetest couple and super helpful with arranging anything you need. Clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to town, but better to take a short tuk tuk ride.

Very clean property. Gayan had a wonderful hospitality and helpful attitude. Food was excellent and portions were generous.Gayan packed our breakfast when we checked out early at 5.45 am very professionally even better than what a 5 star hotel can offer. Great views from property. Very serene and peaceful ambience. Gayan had a ‘can do’ attitude which is very rare today !

Walking to and fro is a challenge . Actual sunrise is not visible.

Road to accomodation extremely narrow Slightly scary coming up in tuk tuk in the dark as the road is not in good repair. All good of you dont mind heights

Everything, the hosts were amazing, the food was amazing and the view’s spectacular. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was varied, tasty and filling. The hosts cooked for us both nights and the food was delicious. The whole experience was amazing a must stay if you visit Ella.

Absolute pearl of a homestay. Just two rooms with a beautiful view, calm surroundings to wake up in, and still just 10 minutes from Ella town by foot. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka, at a great price. We ate all our meals at home because we enjoyed it so much. Don't hesitate to book this spot!
