Mostly all good. The room is a bit smaller than the pictures show but fine. The room can be stuffy as it heats up during the day but the fan helps keep it comfortable at night when windows need to be kept closed.

Great host family, excellent and generous breakfast, comfortable bed, lots of hot water and good shower pressure. The room even had a small fridge and kettle which I didn’t expect. Very clean, and one room they rent out has a separate entrance.

Beautiful homestay with a friendly family. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The thick blankets and large bed were perfect. Breakfast was great. All in all, a very lovely stay.

The family was super sweet and the room is big and clean. Good value for money. It is far from the main street, which makes it quiet. Nice bird sounds in the morning ;) They even have a air dryer which was really appreciated

Really lovely home stay. Great huge room and bathroom with a really lovely hot powerful shower, which you need as can be chilly. Lovely big comfy bed with warm blankets. The room and bathroom were spotless clean. I would highly recommend and the location was fantastic for us.

I was very pleased with my stay at Jaye Homestay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The climate in Ella can be cool at night, so I appreciated the warm shower and cosy blanket that was provided. The bed had a mosquito net and I slept very well each night. The property is well located, with easy access to the town, Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arch Bridge either by foot or tuc-tuc. There are some steep hills to walk up and down to get to and from Jaye Homestay, which is to be expected when in the mountains. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice owners, helpful and sweet. Clean room, like reeeally clean. Quiet, close to the centre. No view, but you don't really need it if you out all day walking. Overall very happy with the property.

We liked that the homestay was a bit away from the noisy, busy main road but if you hate walking and/or hills it might be worth being closer to the main street!

Incredibly clean, very comfy bed and great breakfast. The host family were lovely and very helpful. Unlike some other homestays, I appreciated that there was no pressure to organize extra activities through them. We even saw fireflies in the lane on the walk back to the house every night!

You can have some bugs in your rooms. We even had some fireflies in there, which was quite funny.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jaye's Homestay. The room is quite big, nice hot shower (very good pressure) and the breakfast is phenomenal. We were vegetarians and it was no problem for them to adapt. They have a mosquito net which is always nice and was needed. For the Little Adam's Peak hike you can start directly from there (45 min).

One of the best place we ever stayed in Sri Lanka! The owner was really kind to us, prepared some cups of black tea. Very clean & beautiful room. We will absolutely come back there if we will visit Ella again :)

We loved everything there. We came for 1 night but we stayed 3 nights. The host family are very nice helpfull people. Breakfast was delicious and huge. Accomodation is clean, bed is comfy, bed sheets and towel also clean, HOT water, wifi is not working sometimes but it was not a big deal for us as there is probably just not a good internet reception. It was our best stay in Sri Lanka so far. We felt like at home!

The Homestay is located up a lot of very steep hills which wasn’t a problem for us but could be hard to reach for those less physically able. We had backpacks, but would be a nightmare for people with suitcases.

Amazing place to stay! Everything you need for such a reasonable price. The shower water was very hot so we were both able to have good showers after a day of hiking. Mosquito net over the bed and towels and soap also provided. Lots of space in the room too. Location was 10 minute walk from the main area of Ella but hidden away enough to have a peaceful sleep at night.

Exceptionally clean rooms and large washroom with really hot water. The room was quite big and spacious with a mini fridge, hair dryer and first aid kit.

For some the steep walk to house may not suit. No noise soundproofing-could hear late night & early 6am noise from family members. Bring ear plugs ! Go to bed early and then noises of children no issue!

My hosts were so nice, providing a large clean room, a big bed, soft warm blankets, mosquito net. The shower was great - plenty of hot water.
