We had a wonderful stay at these little cabanas. They are very clean, comfortable and well-maintained, surrounded by beautiful garden. The location is incredible, with a private beach just 40m away - perfect for a relaxing holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was also delicious! We truly recommend this place and would have loved to stay longer if we had more days.

Unfortunately, there is no pool, which would have really made this place unbeatable.

The cabanas are comfortable and spacious and while not directly facing the beach in a beautiful tropical garden with a large patch of grass leading onto the beach. The location is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and diving companies. The staff, in particular Amal, is a real gem, helpful in assisting with transportation or arranging diving trips. There are hammocks and loungers right on the beach.

A few bars nearby but a 17 minute drive to upavelli with other options so a bit far out the loop and about a half an hour drive to trincomalee. The host was smiley but didn’t really make an effort to help us or offer any advice or suggestions about our stay.

We had a lovely & relaxing stay in the Nilaveli Cabanas. It's a beautiful place right at the beach in the calmer area of Nilaveli. With only three cabanas, it is super peaceful and perfect to deconnect! Amal is a very helpful host! He arranged us scooters, a trip to pigeon island (which was amazing) and a dolfin watching tour! He also cooked us an amazing seafood barbecue diner and arranged a table on the beach with a great view on the sea. What more can we wish for... We can really recommend to stay here! Thank you for the hospitality, Amal!

It was perfect no negatives to report

This was an extremely comfortable Cabana with a very comfortable bed which also had the bonus of a mosquito net, fridge with ice box, air con and ceiling fan the bedroom and bathroom were perfectly clean and fit for purpose. The staff and host Amal were all extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided each morning of: Fruit, eggs and toast was perfect. The beach is on the doorstep with sun loungers and Hammicks provided with bars and restaurants in either direction all offering compatible services.

It was a very quiet property in an absolutely beautiful setting. We didn’t eat here (other than breakfast) but a short walk in either direction along the beach will find you many dining options. Our favourite was That’s why (turn right on the beach).

Nothing really, was just very basic accom.

Great location, right on the beach. Easy walk up the beach to a salty dogs cafe and beach lovers restaurant and bar. Rooms were simple, though were fine for the stay. We ordered pizza delivery from Kitchen Nero one day, and they delivered to our cabana. Was good to mix things up and not walk up the beach for lunch, as we were very content just lazing on the sun loungers. Breakfast is simple and plentiful. 500m walk to the main road for snacks and bottled water. Amal was great in offering to take us further if needed, in his car.

We enjoyed the silence, harmony, friendliness and beautiful area in Amal’s Paradies! Perfect location to slow down and to discover Nilaveli, Trincomalee, Uppuveli,… Amal is a very nice host. Always helpful, available before and during our stay. We will def come back to this beautiful place. It was also very nice to see that the extremely lovable dog was allowed to have such a nice and quiet place to live. We really enjoyed his presence. a soul of an animal.

There is not much going on in the area around so I would recommend renting a scooter or ask the owner of the hotel to call for a Tuktuk.

This is the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka on our one month long trip! Gorgeous beach, the kindest owner, great wifi, clean and the most relaxing, beautiful hut! They also have someone offering snorkelling trips to pigeon island who is the kindest guide and I would 100% recommend doing! This hotel is slightly more pricey, but absolutely worth it! We will definitely come back 😊

Amazing stay in a beautiful and quiet area on nilavelli beach. The Cabana was clean and spacious and right on the beach. Amal is an amazing host happy to organise activities and arranged pur driver to our next location. He cooks wonderful breakfasts too.

Although Amal, the manager, told me over the phone that there is a restaurant at the place, in reality, it does not work regularly. That is, you can get breakfast for additional payment if ordered the night before (most hotels in SL, certainly at this high price range, include a free breakfast in your stay), but normally, the restaurant does not function beyond providing a welcome juice. Moreover, we were four and hence booked two rooms. In one of them the water boiler did not work. Amal came to check and said that "in this heat you don't need hot water" (we actually think it was necessary) and, after he could do Notting to make the boiler work he added: "if you want you can go somewhere else." We somehow felt somewhat disappointed by this attitude. Luckily there is another small hotel 200 m from his place which offers excellent sea food meals with tables 10 m from the beach. We had two magical dinners there. For breakfast and lunch, head for Uppaveli Cafe on the 18th - lunch and dinner, pricy but excellent) or Be cool juice bar for very good breakfast.

The location is superb - a lovely, private beach and the cabana (room) is just 60 m from the sea. The standard of the room is high. Having a private beach is an unmatched experience, however, staying at a place in Uppavely offers proximity to excellent restaurants and a great beach.
