Really enjoyed the view and historic property. Very affordable compared to most villas and hotels in the area. The breakfast was really good (highly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast with curries) and the host was extremely helpful.

We had a truly wonderful stay , one of the best we've experienced in Sri Lanka. The property is cosy and tastefully designed, with a lovely view and thoughtful attention to detail throughout. Our room was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The host was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious. One thing to note: in case of heavy rain, it may be difficult for tuk tuks or even cars to reach the property, so plan accordingly!

Wifi could be better but then Dialog sim works just fine with 5G.

The location is fantastic. When you reach the first time, it will seem a bit far above however, the second time you will feel its manageable. Its a small road to the top. However, the view from the rooms is breath-taking. Chaminda manges the villa beautifully well and his wife cooks amazing meals. Do try their breakfast.

We smelt something funny from the bathroom but couldn’t put a finger to it. But wasn’t annoyingly bad, could have been the air freshener that we didn’t like.

Really good place! All clean! The localization is good, easy to go to the center! Staff is AMAZING! Nice people, very friendly and GOOD chef! We had dinner here and all was deliciuos and home made! I recomend you to be in that place!

the bumpy road lead to the hotel

We loved this place because it wasn’t just the typical hotel , Villa De Roshe has such a cozy and charming atmosphere, never have I had a more pleasant staff. Chaminda along with his wife was so polite and helpful and kind, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thanks Mr.Chaminda and the wife for the wonderful care given to us. The room is even nicer than it looks in the photo’s. We had an amazing stay here and we are especially happy with the service from Caminda who managed the hotel. He made sure we were taken care of, had breakfast on our schedule and helped us with our day plans. Such a warm welcome!

Although the accommodation is close to town, the location was quite tricky for tuk tuks to get to. However, the view was exceptional and Chaminda organised our tuk tuks for our stay so it was never an issue to get a ride into town or back to the accomodation. You can walk into town but it is quite steep and the roads are very uneven.

Our room was beautiful. The room itself and the bathroom were very large and the balcony views were beautiful. Chaminda was so attentive and friendly, and made us feel at home. He gave us great recommendations of what to do in town and was very helpful overall.

Some things weren't working in the room. Couldn't get the TV working, bidet didn't function and main light wouldn't turn on. Warm water runs out after a while of showering. Needs a break to produce warm water again. Was surprised that it can be a bit noisy at night. Probably not the most noise proof room as it has a thin roof and the balcony doors don't keep too much sound out either. Didn't sleep the best but maybe that was just an anomaly.

Friendly host who welcomed us warmly upon arrival with a delicious cup of tea and gave us some helpful advice for exploring Nuwara Eliya. Room is very classy, modern and spacious. Incredible views from the room. Short tuk tuk ride to Nuwara Eliya town. Good value for money.

Chiminda was a brilliant host! He couldn't do enough for us even producing a cake for my wife's birthday! We would recommend this place to stay in Nuwara Eliya.

It's a minor thing but there's inly one table to sit outside, so if it's occupied, other guests need to sit inside for breakfast.

The villa is located on amidst the hills so the views are spectacular! The family running the place is lovely and very helpful. We also loved Sri Lankan breakfast served at a requested time :)

Payment needed to be cash, thank goodness I had the cash on hand. It would be good to notify our have credit card or bank transfer facilities.

We liked the look of the villa and the view (our room opened up to a waterfall). The bedroom was comfortable with a massive bathroom and hot water was very easy to access. The breakfast was really good and beautifully presented.

The accomodation was really beautiful, the location was not so close to center but with tuc-tuc there is no problem to move around. The owner suggested a really cool place for dinner which was the best dining experience in Sri Lanka we had.
