There was a little smell in our room from the kitchen even with closed window.

This hotel has been my favourite so far! Very reasonable, very friendly staff, amazing food and that view… what can I say… it’s like going to sleep and dreaming… except it’s real! The view is so good that I cancelled my visit to Lipton because I felt nothing could top this view! The food is very reasonable and the hotel arrange a tuk tuk to pick you up from the Main Street. The view from the pool is incredible. I feel this hotel needs a bit more credit as it’s absolutely amazing!

The view is amazing. The best you can get in Sri Lanka according to us. The staff and especially Gamina is so friendly and helpful. No effort too big. A place you should visit when in Sri Lanka. We felt sorry to leave the hotel.

What a magical stay we had in Haputale! We stayed at a lovely hotel with stunning views over the surrounding hills and tea plantations. The infinity pool was perfect for relaxing, and both the breakfast and the restaurant were excellent. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Gamini and the amazing staff. Gamini made sure everything was perfect – down to the smallest detail. He organized a fantastic trip to Lipton’s Seat with a wonderful guide, who turned the day into a memorable adventure for us and our kids. The area itself is breathtaking – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful tea fields in Sri Lanka. Our stop in Haputale was absolutely worth it – and one we’ll always remember!

There are a lot of stairs, as you might expect given the location. It was a little too cool to use the pool.

The pool is quite a way down a number of steps so tricky if you have mobility issues

The hotel has the most amazing views and has fantastic balconies where you can see for miles. The manager is so helpful and kind and organised trips for us at an excellent price. The food was excellent and extremely good value. I really enjoyed the pool but it was quite cool! Room was fantastic in design and comfort.

The hotel was stunning on the inside and of course, the outside view from the balcony! The rolling hills were absolutely stunning. The room was very comfortable temperature wise, I went in April, apparently a nice months to go. The bed was dreamy too. I had dinner and breakfast there, and was treated very well by Gamini, one of the staff members there. He helped to arrange a couple of drivers for me also. It’s very easy to arrive by Tuk Tuk. Definitely recommend!

The kottu at dinner was, unfortunately, a bit burned. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, which caused smells and high humidity. A little shelve in the shower would be perfect to keep your toiletries. There was no air-conditioning, which is not really needed as the climate in the hills is good. Byt you can't open the window as the mosquitos will get in.

We absolutely loved the amazing views. Which we were able to enjoy from our private balcony. We also liked the modern (concrete) design of the hotel. The restaurant was spacious and offered beautiful views. Staff was friendly.

There was a bit of a musty smell in a couple of the rooms, but I think that comes from the cool damp of the area.

When you walk through the big doors at the front of the property, you will be awestruck by the views across the misty hills of tea plantations. It is a modern build with polished concrete floors and even a swimming pool. It is brilliantly located a short (steep) walk from downtown Haputale. If you're looking for an authentic local town to stay in this Tea area, haputale is the place. Great eating holes in the wall cooking up cheap and delicious local fare. And nearby is a beautiful section of the Pekoe Trail which I highly recommend. Back to Vantage Hill - it is the warmth and can-do attitude of the staff that really makes this place\. Oh, and the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast
