Our stay was really fun at the beach house, the access to the beach was amazing and our children loved playing down on the beach. The breakfast was an extra charge for our room but was good and both days we had different options. The staff and the owner were really helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Although there is no restaurant literally two seconds down the beach is a lovely restaurant so you don't feel at a loss. We would defo go back and stay again.

Worn down, dirty fridge and not working. Stains on sheets and they went into our room without doing any daily cleaning work. Not sure what that was for but thankfully we didn’t lose anything. I still don’t think they should go in to our room if they didn’t have any business there. I know they went in because the blanket that we purposely left on the floor was put away on top of the bed.

View and the beach is 10/10, we swam here everyday during our stay and so many turtles at the front of the beach! Bed was comfortable.

Unawatuna beach house is one of our favourit places in Sri Lanka. We have been there several times to spend our beach holiday. This is the best place to enjoy! beach front, feed and swim with turtles, many eating places near by. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and confortable beds. We heighly recommend this place.

Nothing to dislike but a suggestion would be to have some toiletries in the bathroom.

Location was excellent, right on the beach with a gorgeous sea view from the room. The host Mal and his staff were very attentive and helpful.

There was nothing I didn’t like but I think it would be good to provide some kind of snacks and drinks and maybe also to include breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants around the area but it could be good for the hotel if they would have the option. I know that the manager would provide something if you wanted but it was not something that was advertised.

Lovely place to stay next to the beach. Managed by a very helpful and kind man who was always happy to help with anything we needed. Definitely worth the stay.

Amazing location on Wijaya Beach. Great view from our balcony. Lots of huge turtles in the shallows at this beach. Mal and all his staff were great.

We had absolutely nothing to complain about.

Really nice place right on the beach with access to sun beds. We had a room on the 1st floor which has a direct view on the ocean. Room had a refrigerator which was really great. We were allowed outside drinks and food on the premise. We had warm water all the time (which we did not have at other places on our tour). The manager Pushpamal was a really nice guy. He arranged us a taxi to the airport, so we did not have to organize it by ourselves.

I have nothing to complain about.

I was warmly welcomed by the owner of the Hotel. Behind the hotel complex, you'll find the beach and other attractions such as The Frog Rock, Turtle Beach, and the Unawatuna Beach Swing. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There is also the option to have breakfast at the hotel, including local dishes. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to all requests. The hotel owners are very caring and were always approachable during my stay. A lovely environment where it’s impossible to get bored. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. I would book it again and definitely recommend it to others.

Front door handle ready to fall off, balcony doors and jamb uncooperative, ran out of hot water every day, mushroom growing out of the ceiling in the bathroom and the wifi was almost unusable

Great location, the cabana offers great views and the terrace is spacious and right on the beach. Next to the property is wijaya beach and restaurant. Good food and you can see turtles every day

The area in general is very touristy! Full of tourists on the beach all the time.

Amazing location right in front of the beach. Because of the geography of spot, there is a sort of lagoon protected by the coral reef where you can swim with kids safely and where you can spot and swim some giant sea turtle. The host and everyone working in there is super friendly and helpful, really nice people.

10/10 for the location. Beach touching property. Restaurants near by, ocean sounds at night. Memorable experience! Breakfast was fresh made and delicious, both continental and Sri Lankan.

The wifi coverage needs to be improved. A few simple toiletries would have been much appreciated even if the place isn't being run as a hotel.

The location and view were excellent. I had a beautiful view of the serene waters and direct access to the beach. The owner and staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
