We recommend to put in the double room a mosquito net because a lot of mosquitoes was inside.

We had an amazing stay at Ubuay GuestHouse. Anthony was outstanding from start to finish, always going above and beyond to make sure our week in Trincomalee went perfectly. He was attentive to every detail and truly took care of us. He even cooked us fish and calamari with so much heart — and you could really taste it. The breakfasts were also excellent, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast, which we highly recommend. A huge thank you to Anthony for all his help — we look forward to seeing you again soon! A good easy locations, clean and comfortable rooms. But the best thing about this place is the people. Everyone who worked here was so friendly kind and helpful. Antony the host was incredibly knowledgeable on areas to visit and always happy to help. We asked him one morning about hand weaving and he then organised for us to go with him to visit two different weaving mills and meet some amazing people, no extra cost or pressure to buy goods just really honest and happy to help. Thank you so much for having us. It was such a highlight of our trip! We will be back

My room was not so nice. The floor, when I was putting things on it, was leaving stains on my clothes that I can’t get rid off now. But I have chosen the cheapest option that’s why! So anyway the room was OK! I was spending only nighttime in it because I was all day out so it was not the issue!

It was so nice to stay there. The distance between the beach and my room was about 1 1/2 minutes walk! The best thing was I could go back even at midnight because it was 150 meters walk! The hotel area is so safe, the staff is very nice and helpful and you can talk with them if you want. It is the best area in Trincomalee to sleep in!

We stayed here for 3 nights. Great place to relax, close to the beach and main street, but still quiet. Anthony Paul, the host, is very kind and helpful. But he is an amazing chef, don't hesitate to ask him for lunch or dinner. He will deliver amazing tasty food. Highly recommended it.

This place was absolutely perfect. The room was huge and had a massive kind size bed. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean on arrival. Fantastic location just a few minutes walk to the beach and many restaurants. Breakfast was an omelette, 3 pieces of toast, papaya, watermelon, butter, jam with coffee or tea. The main highlight of this stay was the very friendly and kind host Antony. He was more than happy to help us in any way he could and recommended some great places to see in Trincomalee. The accommodation was very clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Just a 3-minute walk from the beach, it is a peaceful and quiet spot, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the seaside. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and gave us great advice to help us plan the rest of our trip. They even reached out to their contacts to help us find the best deals. We loved the included breakfast and tried both the Western and Sri Lankan options. While both were delicious, the Sri Lankan breakfast was our favorite! Our hosts were attentive, always available, and truly made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this place without hesitating

Not everyone spoke English, which was a bit difficult, but overall a good stay. The breakfast were light.

It was near the beach and the city, the surroundings were very tropical like and room was clean and equipped with the AC. We had some problems with WIFI and it was solved very quickly.

Paul is very nice and made sure we had a good stay. He also kindly arranged transportation for a very good price. The accommodation itself is very close to the sea and the breakfast is fine. We booked a room with AC, definitely recommended with the heat in Trincomalee. Our bed was very comfortable, also a big plus.

It was a great location, close to the beach and restaurants. The beach is amazing and you can easily find a spot in the sand away from people and enjoy the quiet and water, or easily find a chair to enjoy the beach! Paul was great and was attentive to our never ending questions. He was always available and helped us with booking a taxi to Kandy and doing a snorkel trip to Coral Island. The room is big, with plenty of room to spread out. The aircon is a major plus, but the fan works very well too!

Paul is an amazing, helpful and caring host. He also cooks a great breakfast. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with inviting seating areas outside. The beach is just a short walk away, accessed by a private laneway from the property. You can get beer, water and softdrinks right from the kitchen whenever you feel. Highly recommended!!
