United KingdomSupply of drinks during meal a little disjointed. As european customers we are used to drinking with our meal whereas Sri Lankan customers might not have that culture. Had to think to find something to write in this box.
A little difficult to find but well worth the effort. Views are terrific, staff friendly and efficient. Food very good.

United KingdomFor a hotel of this price point sadly the bathroom lets it all down. Black mould and signs of damp in a few areas inside the shower cubicle, and black grouting so quite obviously not clean. I have stayed in places in Sri Lanka at half the price with a much better and cleaner washroom. Staff for room service cannot speak much English, and that’s ok, I don’t speak Sinhala but then mistakes are made when ordering despite pointing on the menu to the items you’d like… they were apologetic but it meant that from the first call I made before 8pm to place an order, it took until 9.30pm before I was finally eating what I wanted… maybe have numbers next to the items would avoid this happening - just a suggestion. The corridors are noisy at night and early morning, not the hotels fault just luck of the draw if you are near other guests who decide to stand and chat outside their rooms at 6.15am with no consideration for anybody else.
Firstly there’s a flight of stairs up to the reception, just take note if you are not able bodied, I’m not sure if there is another entrance you can use which would be easier. The staff at check in were very friendly and welcoming, bar staff bringing a cool drink full of smiles. Large reception area and plenty of comfortable seats, the bar and a set up for live music, and great views. All was spotlessly clean. Now onto the room - I stayed in room #211, it is a good size, lovely and spacious, not cluttered and with calming colours, good lighting options and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need… BUT the air con unit is badly positioned facing the bed, it has to be off to sleep as even on the lowest setting it blasts in your face, but not a deal breaker.

Very nice lobby, room, bed, shower and bathroom were great. Friendly staff. Good breakfast Kandy isn't the best destination, if this hotel would have been in say sigiriya or mirissa it would be an absolute must to stay here.
