Rowan is an amazing host he is very accommodating, gave us an early check-in and let us keep our bags there while we we were organising the next part of our trip. The accommodation is large with a huge bathroom and power hot shower ac and fan and great proximity to the beach 2 min walk.The breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Rohan the guy who was taking care of us is simply the best. He made us all feel like we are at home, quite helpful and always smiling.

It'a value deal. So for the price you are paying, it's excellent.

Good location within a short walking distance to beach. Wifi and air cond were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Mosquito net provided. Huge bathroom. Quiet location a short walk to the road, supermarket and many, many restaurants. Outside tap and shower for rinsing off the sand. We arrived early from Galle and the host let us drop our bags and come back later. Would stay here again.

Would have been great to have a drying rack in the bathroom for wet swimming gear (although we did find an outside clothesline along the fenceline).

We stayed 3 nights at this property and wish we had more time! Excellent value for money, perfect location and the hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.

We had a power outage while there - not the properties fault but it was scheduled and so they knew about it in advance. Windows were facing a public area so a little privacy limited

Proximity to the beach a minute's walk. In a tranquil corner peaceful. Great air con. No mosquitos.

Close to the beach and restaurants, large room and very large bathroom. Immaculately clean, good Aircon’s and wifi. Good value breakfast. Really nice host.

Rohan is incredibly welcoming and friendly. He takes good care of the place and I always ready to help with whatever you need. Always offering tea and coffee, I didn't try the breakfast but the other guests seemed to be very happy with it. The place is incredibly close to the beach. But still quiet. From your room to the sand is less than 100m. Hot water works very well. Great air con and a ceiling fan with controllable speed. Good mosquito net although there's not a whole lot of mosquitos around.

The bath in my bathroom, which I didn't use because of two perfectly good showers, needs some cleaning and updating.

The location is incredible, right by the beach and many restaurants and shops. The Guesthouse has an amazing family running it, breakfast is incredible and the upstairs room is MASSIVE with a balcony and loads of space.

Great host, big room and huge bathroom, 2 minutes walk to a great beach and 10 minutes into town main road with ATM, supermarket and wine store. Excellent breakfast, host arranged whale watching trip and a very good priced car to Ella.

The couple who run this guesthouse are lovely and helpful. It is very relaxed and in an excellent location. It is clean and offers a good breakfast and laundry service. I was made to feel very welcome and looked after. I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 5!

Lovely accommodation in beautiful Merissa. We had a wonderful stay at the Thusara Guesthouse. The hosts looked after us to ensure we had everything we needed, provided a lovely breakfast and great recommendations for where to visit and places to eat. The upstairs apartment is a lovely open space with lots of light and nice to relax. It is located close to the beach with easy access to town.

Very nice place. Close to the beach but away from the noise. Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. Aircon works well. The owner, Roman, is super helpful and friendly! Highly recommended accommodation.
