Rohan the guy who was taking care of us is simply the best. He made us all feel like we are at home, quite helpful and always smiling.

Would have been great to have a drying rack in the bathroom for wet swimming gear (although we did find an outside clothesline along the fenceline).

Good location within a short walking distance to beach. Wifi and air cond were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Mosquito net provided. Huge bathroom. Quiet location a short walk to the road, supermarket and many, many restaurants. Outside tap and shower for rinsing off the sand. We arrived early from Galle and the host let us drop our bags and come back later. Would stay here again.

We had a power outage while there - not the properties fault but it was scheduled and so they knew about it in advance. Windows were facing a public area so a little privacy limited

The bath in my bathroom, which I didn't use because of two perfectly good showers, needs some cleaning and updating.

Rohan is incredibly welcoming and friendly. He takes good care of the place and I always ready to help with whatever you need. Always offering tea and coffee, I didn't try the breakfast but the other guests seemed to be very happy with it. The place is incredibly close to the beach. But still quiet. From your room to the sand is less than 100m. Hot water works very well. Great air con and a ceiling fan with controllable speed. Good mosquito net although there's not a whole lot of mosquitos around.

We had a pleasant stay at Thusara, Rohan and his family are so hospitable, nice little house with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. The guest house is super clean and the family always make sure to help you and provide you with tips, information about transport and more. We highly recommend staying at Thusara. Location is great, a bit away from the beach busy life but so close to everything at the same time. Loads of restaurants, bars and cafe around. Thank you Rohana and Inoka :)

The location is incredible, right by the beach and many restaurants and shops. The Guesthouse has an amazing family running it, breakfast is incredible and the upstairs room is MASSIVE with a balcony and loads of space.

The couple who run this guesthouse are lovely and helpful. It is very relaxed and in an excellent location. It is clean and offers a good breakfast and laundry service. I was made to feel very welcome and looked after. I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 5!

Lovely accommodation in beautiful Merissa. We had a wonderful stay at the Thusara Guesthouse. The hosts looked after us to ensure we had everything we needed, provided a lovely breakfast and great recommendations for where to visit and places to eat. The upstairs apartment is a lovely open space with lots of light and nice to relax. It is located close to the beach with easy access to town.

Rohana is great host. I paid a bit more for the large room upstairs and I loved the spaciousness, the balcony, the separate toilet from sink and shower room, a:c plus fan and having a little fridge.

Lovely option 40 mts from the beach tucked away in a relatively quiet corner. We stayed in their brand new appartement/room on the first floor. Fantastic bed (huge!), slight seaview, nice and very clean bathroom, kitchenette incl fridge(!) and lot of space. Loved it! Rohan and his wife really take good care of you and cook up fantastic breakfasts, both SL and Western style.

1. Thusara is always keeping it clean. Daily. 2. He's so friendly. The energy he has is like meeting a Buddha, he's vibrating with amazing energy. Do not even worry about anything because his energy will help you feel good here 3. Can hear the ocean in the room! For this alone it's worth coming here. It's like a spiritual healing, sleeping like a baby. 4. The beach is literally outside. I will miss this. 5. Planned for 1 night. Stayed 4 days 6. WiFi is good. I did video calls just fine. So for remote workers it's great. Good quality Internet. 7. The area is so nice and peaceful. Away from busy area. 8. A lovely clean kitchen. With all the best knives and tools you need for simple food. He also serves breakfast 9. Again... Friendliest guy. I left with such a closeness to him. Like family. And that is not always the case. Thank you... 10. Bed very comfortable. I've been over 55 countries. So I've seen my fair share of beds. I slept so well here. It grounded my energy so powerfully. Amazing overall. In every way
