This property was beautiful. The hospitality was excellent, with a welcoming and leaving drinks. The breakfast was also a stand out- having free range on a lovely healthy menu. The boat beds in the day made our stay- so lovely to relax on during the day. The location is excellent, close to all restaurants and bars. The room was decorated beautifully. Everything about the property was excellent.

    Nothing.

The property was lovely styled, very clean and good vibes. The private beach access was a big plus either the sun beds. All staff was very friendly and the manager was welcoming and helpful.

The restaurant was not my favourite as the food and drink option were sometimes not as tasty. Seemed like the chef and the crew are not to experienced in western vegan cuisine. No Srilanka option on the Menü and this cousin got plenty of vegan options….

The location was amazing - right on the beach and lovely to be able to have food watching the waves. Great to have an all vegan menu albeit the food was hit and miss Breakfast being unlimited Staff were friendly and helpful Rooms were nicely decorated (albeit grubby in many places)

We were left underwhelmed and disappointed by our stay here. It’s very expensive for what you get and we were so excited to stay for our honeymoon and try all the vegan food, but the reality didn’t live up to pictures/description. The food was ok but nothing amazing, some dishes were much better than others. Pad Thai for example wasn’t nice at all…. Coffee wasn’t good and coffee machine was broken during our stay. The beds were so noisy we could barely sleep one night. The slightest movement meant the loudest noise . They moved us to a different room but the bed was still noisy here, albeit not as bad. Lots of mosquitoes! We used the net on the second night because we were so bitten the night before and the net was absolutely filthy The whole place just needs a refresh: doors and skirting boards are grubby and could use a clean and paint. I spoke to the manager who thanked me for bringing it to their attention, but at such high costs the food and accommodation should be so much higher quality. He mentioned the owner lives abroad and it seems to me like they aren’t aware or caring, just charging crazy prices. I got the sense that they had a vegan hotel for all the wrong reasons.

I loved the fact that the hotel is vegan to begin with. The stay, the food, the staff and the atmosphere was amazing. The location is very good. You can either walk around or take a tuk tuk. The staff will help you whatever you need. If you want to eat delicious food, catch some rays, take a swim and relax for a few days this is the place.

Beautiful room, with a sea view. Nice garden and good quiet location but still close to everything. Friendly staff. Also nice breakfast with many items to choose from. We stayed for nights and enjoyed our time here.

The price is too high for what it is. Especially the bathrooms looked old and dirty. There where constant power cuts during our stay. Slow WiFi and slow service. Therefore maybe the name of the hotel haha! Nonetheless we did enjoy our stay here!

Rooms close to beach, staff lovely. Relaxing spot to sit by water away from noise of mirrissa streets. Host was great and as we left early morning for safari offered us a free dinner as we would miss our free breakfast. Great gesture

A bit pricey for what you get. Breakfast was nice but portions smaller than usual

the private beautiful beach and being able to walk directly onto it from my room was just perfect

I wasn’t a fan of the food i tried - i love vegan food and eat mostly only vegan food which is why i also chose the hotel- i feel like it could be improved massively it was just not up to par with the rest of the hotel!

The vibe of this place during the day as well as night was so nice, it seemed like the only place in Mirissa to be right on the beach which we loved. The staff were all so lovely and helpful! Our room was small but very comfortable!

The highlight would be the location on the beach and the lovely staff. Sam, the Manager was super helpful, knowledgeable of the area and local activities, and was always very accommodating. Being vegan, it was a nice change being able to eat anything on the menu. I would also highly recommend Ranuka who drove us all the way to Ella via the Udawalawe National Park. After our safari, Ranuka purchased a coconut milk drink for us and was happy to stop along the way for photos and snacks.

It’s a great location, beautiful outlook onto the beach, nice restaurant and the staff are very kind.

I’ve seen it mentioned before but it needs a good deep clean or update. It just felt a little bit dirty even when we first arrived, not and and not a reason not to stay BUT with the high price per night you do expect more. The monkeys that hang at the entrance are aggressive and it isn’t pleasant walking through when they’re there. One grabbed my husbands leg.

The location is excellent and hearing the waves from your room is great. The staff were friendly , the breakfast pancakes and fruit plate were tastey.

There’s a noisy restaurant next door that plays loud music at night especially on the weekend which kills the relaxing vibe. There seem to be alot of guys hanging around , not sure they are all working but it doesn’t feel relaxing because there’s so many. Some of the food made me unwell. Some of the bedsheets had holes in them. All the above could be forgiven if the price wasn’t top end of the market /high.

We loved two things about the place 1. Location - Amazing location and fabulous views. You can listen to the sound of the ocean and the overall feel of the place is nice and peaceful. We spend almost two days just sitting around in their restro or on the Loungers admiring the view. Right on the Beach and walkable access to important viewpoints 2. The food was just amazing. Even though a short menu, we didn’t mind repeating it at all. Fresh and tasty food except for the cinnamon rolls.

From a service, hospitality and room cleanliness point of view, it felt very overpriced. 1. The rooms could have been cleaniner. They could have thrown in some more door mats and had a rigorous or frequent room cleaning. The room was missing a few things, which were provided on request 2. Certain rules felt random. For example, we were told very late that water is chargeable after a certain ration and this was not mentioned anywhere on their room guide. We were charged 4k during checkout. Similarly oh our first morning we were told breakfast is limited to only 2 items but the room guide said order as much and whatever you want. I wouldn’t have expected this from any good to excellent hotel. 3. While booking I had left note that we were celebrating our anniversary there but they didn’t care to read the note or didn’t pay attention to it. After point 1 and 2, I dint even mention.

Staying at The Slow was a brilliant experience. Saman and his team of boys are the nicest, courteous, warm and welcoming people. The restaurant food was exceptionally delicious, smoothie bowl, avocado toast, burger, hash brown and pumpkin soup! The property is right on the beach, you could literally go swim right from your room. The room is cozy and clean .

Having a hot water kettle in the room would have been great, but that's just a personal requirement.

We went off season to avoid the crowds. Very nice hotel staff were very friendly and only too willing to help. The breakfast and evening meals were great even thou we were not vegans or vegetarian but decided to opt for a change. We were very pleasantly surprised and would go as far to say it's the best restaurant around the area. Your right on the beach so couldn't ask for more. Located in middle of coconut hill and parrot rock worth a walk down for the view

This hotel is cash only basis which did cause some issues as your not informed until you arrive. Managed to get the cash resolved but it was an inconvenience
