This property was beautiful. The hospitality was excellent, with a welcoming and leaving drinks. The breakfast was also a stand out- having free range on a lovely healthy menu. The boat beds in the day made our stay- so lovely to relax on during the day. The location is excellent, close to all restaurants and bars. The room was decorated beautifully. Everything about the property was excellent.

The restaurant was not my favourite as the food and drink option were sometimes not as tasty. Seemed like the chef and the crew are not to experienced in western vegan cuisine. No Srilanka option on the Menü and this cousin got plenty of vegan options….

The property was lovely styled, very clean and good vibes. The private beach access was a big plus either the sun beds. All staff was very friendly and the manager was welcoming and helpful.

I loved the fact that the hotel is vegan to begin with. The stay, the food, the staff and the atmosphere was amazing. The location is very good. You can either walk around or take a tuk tuk. The staff will help you whatever you need. If you want to eat delicious food, catch some rays, take a swim and relax for a few days this is the place.

Rooms close to beach, staff lovely. Relaxing spot to sit by water away from noise of mirrissa streets. Host was great and as we left early morning for safari offered us a free dinner as we would miss our free breakfast. Great gesture

I wasn’t a fan of the food i tried - i love vegan food and eat mostly only vegan food which is why i also chose the hotel- i feel like it could be improved massively it was just not up to par with the rest of the hotel!

The vibe of this place during the day as well as night was so nice, it seemed like the only place in Mirissa to be right on the beach which we loved. The staff were all so lovely and helpful! Our room was small but very comfortable!

The highlight would be the location on the beach and the lovely staff. Sam, the Manager was super helpful, knowledgeable of the area and local activities, and was always very accommodating. Being vegan, it was a nice change being able to eat anything on the menu. I would also highly recommend Ranuka who drove us all the way to Ella via the Udawalawe National Park. After our safari, Ranuka purchased a coconut milk drink for us and was happy to stop along the way for photos and snacks.

Having a hot water kettle in the room would have been great, but that's just a personal requirement.

Staying at The Slow was a brilliant experience. Saman and his team of boys are the nicest, courteous, warm and welcoming people. The restaurant food was exceptionally delicious, smoothie bowl, avocado toast,burger, hash brown and pumpkin soup! The property is right on the beach, you could literally go swim right from your room. The room is cozy and clean .

This hotel is cash only basis which did cause some issues as your not informed until you arrive. Managed to get the cash resolved but it was an inconvenience

We went off season to avoid the crowds. Very nice hotel staff were very friendly and only too willing to help. The breakfast and evening meals were great even thou we were not vegans or vegetarian but decided to opt for a change. We were very pleasantly surprised and would go as far to say it's the best restaurant around the area. Your right on the beach so couldn't ask for more. Located in middle of coconut hill and parrot rock worth a walk down for the view

Beautiful hotel, food, location, staff. Expensive yes but this was a treat for me. The breakfast seemed to be unlimited but I can't be sure because I didn't eat that much but I think that's what my friends said, so you do get your money's worth there.

We loved everything about our stay: the room was large and clean, with attention to detail, the staff was very nice, the location right on the beach however with the right amount of privacy and calm. Honestly we took this hotel a little bit by chance and we were so happy we did. Much nicer vibe on this side of town than the main Mirissa beach which was way to busy for us. This is truly stolen paradise

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We spent 3 nights here and the service was excellent, the private beach area was amazing and the vegan food was really good (especially the burgers!). We aren’t not vegan or vegetarian but would highly recommend. We stayed on one of the ground floor apartments and it was the most peaceful 3 nights we could ask for. The place, though not far off the road, is silent at night especially for the sound of the ocean. The bed and bathroom were really comfortable and the aircon made it perfect. The bathroom was well equipped and there was water, fresh towels and a room cleaning provided every morning. I also asked for laundry done one of the days and it was very cheap and quick turnaround. Short walk or tuktuk to all the view points in the area! Finally, the staff were very attentive and happy to serve us at a moments notice, always with a friendly smile. There were nice little touches like a coconut and cold face cloth on arrival and drinks for departure. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka and stopping in Mirissa! Would highly recommend

If you are a cleaning freak this is not the place for you. the rooms are nice, but is an odd molding smell very disturbing, the furniture is old and the bathrooms are not so clean. Also they only accept cash for the room payment.

If you are looking for a perfect spot to relax, for a few days the location is a perfect spot - Parrot Rock and Mirissa Coconut hill are very near- also Petti Petti hotel is next to Slow and it has a pool and wonderful food! The Slow food is ok but not fantastic! The view from the upper rooms is fabulous!

It’s the Most beautiful place on the south coast! We spend one week with our 2 years old son there and had an Amazing time! You are surrounded by palm trees, Sand, the ocean, Families and layed back couples, the Most charming staff and extraordinary good vegan food! We read about loud Music from the bar next to the hotel in the reviews but can not complain! Stayed from Sun-Fri and Even enjoyed the lovely and chilled live Music on Sunday! Thanks to the Manager and the whole staff for making our stay so great and unforgettable!
