Despite being brand new there were already some signs of aging and small issues like poor ventilation in the restaurant (you smell the kitchen on your clothes afterwards), poorly fitting doors (quite a gap with light / sound coming through from the hall) and a bad smell in the changing room. For the price you pay (quite steep), I'd expect better finishing.

Very friendly staff, who went out of their way to assist us, nice views, heated pool and spacious rooms.

The rooms are nice but not that impressive for the price. Turning off all the bedroom lights but keeping on bathroom lights defeated us.

The room service food was not good and was very expensive but everything else was great.

Really kind staff, beautiful setting, super comfortable and clean rooms and amazing buffet breakfast, lovely place to stay! Highly recommended!

Only the tv unit was disconnected and old.

The hotel staff were great. Anusha specially was very personal. The garden and pool is wonderful. You have to try sackville is wonderful as well. Very good

it was a bit cold in the chill days. not in the room, but moving around the hotel and during the meal times. The Spa needs a lot of improvement.

Location of the property is on the main road. Food is decent but could be better. We tried the grand hotel 10 mins away for food and quality was generally a lot better.

Golden ridge is a wonderful property in Nuwara Eliya. The facilities are incredible - the “rooftop” bar is wonderful, the restaurant “sackville” has an amazing ambience and the pool / spa is great. The staff is very nice and helpful and made our stay a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

It’s cold in the spa building. The spa pool is lovely but it’s too cold when you get out of the pool. They also charge extra for use of sauna and steam room. Bathroom quite dated. The dining room is cold too.

Great family room with lovely comfortable beds. Good buffet. Nice pool. Sports bar is great.

We had a really nice stay at Golden Ridge Hotel. The property itself was beautiful with lovely views and a very pleasant outdoor area that we really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only small downside was the service speed in the restaurant, as it was sometimes a bit slow. Overall, though, we truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, views, and great hospitality.

The location is stunning and the facilities are great. The staff is very pleasant and professional and they arranged everything for us to be comfortable with our baby. The kids club was also very useful!

Amenities were excellent, staff was really friendly and the hotel was beautiful. The view and the scenery were amazing and the design highlighted that. They even offered a complimentary upgrade which definitely elevated our experience.
