There is nothing to dislike.

Our family stayed for 5 nights at The Comfort, the homestay of Kushana and Poornima. A lovely old villa with spacious and clean rooms each with a lovely balcony overlooking a garden full of trees, birds and animals and a most spectacular view of the hills. A great place to sit to peacefully start and end the day. Our hosts were both ever so warm-hearted, they looked after us so well and gave us many good tips, organized interesting excursions and Kushana even took us on several of these. We experienced so many things in our time there and Kandy is a super base for all these. The home cooking for breakfast and dinner was also delicious. Thank you both for showing us so much of your wonderful country with its amazing culture and nature.

Nothing really. Maybe if you don't have your own tuktuk, it can be a little bit dat from the city centre. However, the owner offers a service to bring guests to the centre.

+ Very friendly owners of the guesthouse who really make you feel like you are part of the family during your stay. They help you plan your days in Kandy and give good advice for things to do. + Fantastic breakfast. Every day we got a different breakfast. It al tasted really really good. + The rooms were clean and hygienic. + Warm water shower + Environment is quiet even though it's only a 5 minute drive to the city centre by tuktuk

Our stay at The Comfort was truly special thanks to the wonderful hosts, Kushana and Purnima. Kushana went out of his way to make us feel at home — picking us up from the railway station, dropping us off at the bus station when we left, and even taking us to visit several tourist spots around Kandy. He stayed in touch with us even after we left, which shows just how much he cares about his guests. Purnima is an incredible cook — she prepared delicious breakfasts and one of the best dinners we had during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. We will truly miss both of them, and of course their adorable dog, Bella! Thank you so much for everything.#coupleexploration

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming guest house in Kandy from start to finish! The location was perfect—peaceful and tranquil, yet still close enough to the city center, making all the major attractions easily accessible. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the host Kushana and his wife. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. In fact, the host even took us on a day tour around Kandy, showing us the hidden gems of the area and sharing local knowledge that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. It was such a personal touch that made our experience even more special. The breakfast was delicious, with a selection of fresh, local and partialy homegrown products —a perfect start to the day! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Additionally, the guest house had a stunning view of the surrounding hills, which made the experience even more memorable. We highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Kandy. It’s the perfect place to relax and simultaneously explore the cultural treasures of the city.

The room is part of a homestay. The homestay owner was extremely kind, very welcoming to me, explaining the key landmarks in Kandy and giving me tips on my trip planning to other parts of Sri Lanka. I experienced warm Sri Lankan hospitality here and this left a huge impression on me. It is located slightly further away from the City, but is only a short 3km/8 mins drive away and there is parking on site The room is also spacious and has nice views of sunset!

We had the best room in the place! It was super clean, with a balcony facing the mountains. The hosts, a lovely couple, were incredibly kind and helpful. Kushan even gave us two free rides to the city centre and shared great recommendations for exploring the area. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kandy then BOOK NOW! The Comfort is an amazing home stay, Krushna and his wife/ family and dog Bella are so welcoming. The property is beautiful , rooms and bed lovely and comfortable, hot shower and nothing is to much trouble. Kushna arranged our trips and helped/ guide us around Kandy , picking up , booking and at very little cost. Do not pre arrange trips book this place and speak to the family to help plan what you wish to do. I was a solo female traveller and made to feel part of the family. The food was absolutely beautiful with fresh juices from fruit from the garden to a lovely and plentiful breakfast and dinners. The property is not in the centre so you are able to relax from City life and Kushna will help advise you on what to do and provide lifts, tours to various attractions. Thank you for letting stay with you , if/when I return to Kandy here is where I would stay! I miss you already!

Such a lovely homestay. Kushana and his wife make you feel at home. The room is so big with a balcony. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every day. Kushana organised the best personalised tour for us and made everything so easy especially as a solo female traveller. He was so kind to drop me at the bus station when I was leaving. The dog Bella is so cute. Would really recommend staying here.

The host and his wife (secretly the real host) were the most kind and helpful people we have met in the whole of Sri Lanka. From the first minute it was like they were our family. He tried his best to take us everywhere and expected nothing in return because "it was his job to make the guest happy". Thank you to Kushana and his wife for the great time we had in Kandy! Kushana and his wife were the most incredible hosts. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. Kushana took us on a tour of attractions in Kandy, arranged the Knuckles trekking tour for us and drove us there and to Nuwara Eliya at the end of the trip. They looked after us when we came back from the trek even though we had technically checked out. The food was fantastic, the breakfast spread of hoppers was the best we have had on the trip! The facilities and room were very comfortable too. They both made our trip to Kandy and Sri Lanka as a whole so special and memorable! We are so grateful for our stay with the family and could not recommend them more highly.

I didn’t pay attention that the bathroom was private but outside the bedroom, there are rooms with ensuite bathroom so it is something worth double checking if that is important to you

Nothing. The location is a bit outside of the center, but Kushana can offer you a ride if he needs to go to the town anyways. Besides many Ubers are available at low prices. The surroundings are nice, and I prefer staying closer to nature than to the busy and hectic center.

This home stay is run by a very friendly family that will make you feel at home and treat you as their family. The rooms are clean, have nice balconies with views of the surrounding forest, and are equipped with anything you need. Should you need anything more you can ask Kushana and he will happily arrange it for you. The meals in the home stay are available for a fair price and they are very, very tasty! The breakfast is a nice mix of western and traditional food, everything home made, and it is more than enough even for a tall guy like me. Kushana knows a lot about the history and culture of Sri Lanka and his English is very good. He likes to talk with you (only if you wish) and he can take you to see nice places, some are a bit off the beaten track. Kushana is an honest man and has good advice on what to do and what not to do while in Sri Lanka (and Kandy in particular). As an extra to the hospitable environment, there are two beautiful cats (Tsuki and Goldie) and a happy and guest-liking dog named Bella to accompany you and play with you. I arrived at this place with neck and head injuries after an accident, and found very understanding and caring people to accommodate me. I can highly recommend this place. If you are a solo traveler like me and like to have some nice talks with true local Sri Lankan people, this is the place for you.

It was an amazing stay in Kandy! The room was clean and had a beautiful view. The family were very friendly and helpful. They made the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. The host also took us to Nuwara Eliya in his car as we found out that our train tickets were fake. I really recommend this accommodation.
