The rooms were average, pretty run down and overpriced for what you got. The add on water sport activities and gear is way over priced, it wasn't clear that we had to pay for a boggy board, seems a bit petty not supplied by the actual Beach Lovers

We liked the music but it was on too much and too loud. I wouldn't turn it on until later in the day like at 5pm but keep it in the background before that. The resort is expensive by Sri Lankan standards. And we had to beg for 1 free bottle of water. Fortunately, you can purchase drinking water at the fruit stand on the main road (a 10-minute walk) and the breakfast is enough so you can skip lunch. It is also very expensive to go to Pigeon Island because the government keeps raising the cost of tickets but you will see blacktip reef sharks, turtles and tropical fish.

I literally lost my pants there! The hotel's right on the beach (the cabins are behind it) and the hosts are super sweet. An ideal place for children! From 5pm on, the playlist could have been my daughter's spotify. Breakfast is fabulous. The beds are comfortable. Be sure to visit the crocodile lake which is a 15-minute walk away and Trincomalee by tuktuk.

Cabin is small, but you only sleep there.

It’s definitely the best spot on Nilaveli beach. Great restaurant, perfect breakfast. the best staff, easy going, relaxing place, that has everything one needs so one never wants to leave. We would love to come back. There are a lot of diving and snorkeling places near by, go to Ocean+, they have professional gear, local people for whale spotting. They make a lot of effort to spot dolphins and whales and sharks when diving.

The competing music between the two bars! All male staff, sometimes felt intimidated, as a woman. A little ‘over’ friendly.

Fabulous location, right on the a beautiful quiet beach. Rustic, great value accommodation, along with a quirky bar and restaurant. Plenty of sun beds and cabanas. A generous breakfast of high quality. Had five blissful days here.

Food a bit too westernised for us. Huts a bit tight for family of 4. Being v picky though.

Chilled, friendly and in a perfect location on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach. The huts are basic, but clean and comfortable with nets for a good night’s sleep. Evening music gives a good atmosphere and stops by 11. Staff are friendly.

Bungalows are typical but very open to animals of any kind. A lot of asbestos in the bathroom.

They seem to only have big family rooms so a bit pricey for solo travellers and for very rustic cabanas. My cabana was right next to the kitchen so lots of noise until late from the staff working and listening to music. The bar also played music until late on a few occasions.

Unbeatable location right on the beach (although the rooms are not) with sun beds and tables for dinner. Very friendly staff and good food. Basic but clean cabanas. The owner was very nice and helped me find info about bus times. Overall good vibe.

The toilets and the showers looks a bit run down, but then again it's a beach hut, considering the price it's okay.

I recently stayed at the beach hut property and had an absolutely delightful experience. The hut is charmingly designed and just steps away from the pristine beach, offering stunning ocean views. The hosts were welcoming and provided excellent local recommendations, making our stay even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly stood out. Overall, I highly recommend this beach hut for a serene and relaxing getaway. I can’t wait to return!

You just can’t beat the location! The staff and food were great too. Just be aware the rooms are quite hot and basic, but we didn’t mind. We spent 3 days on the beach and dining on the sand at night was extra special.

They could have put some more effort on the room. Especially the bathroom was bad. Also, there are quite some gaps on the wooden construction of the room so any animal can come in. They could have warned us in order not to bring any food that attracted them. Also, the restaurant was a bit expensive if you compare it with other similar ones in the area.
