Shower could've been more powerful. However, hot water was a superb change for Sri Lanka!

Comfortably accommodation 10 minutes by walk from the beautiful Haputale. There was hot shower and great breakfast with the view. It is highly suggested for those we are doing the Pekoe Trail.

Nothing was wrong

What an amazing stay. We had the room that was orientated to the east and every morning we could see the amazing sunrise. The balcony was spectacular, we really liked to have breakfast there. The room was big and very cute and tidy. We definitely recommend this place.

Tourists talking while eating breakfast on balcony next to my room or children crying woke me every morning around 0630. I had planned to go hiking but it was cold, cloudy and rainy. And I was still recovering from food poisoning with this a good place to chill.

Beautiful view from room and balcony where meals were served. Good wifi. Large room, hot shower, unusual to have small towel but adequate. Place is close to snack shop and restaurant (that I did not like). Best was the hospitality of host. He lent me an umbrella and walked me partway to the restaurant to make sure I could find it. And instead of serving only a standard local meal, the host worked with me to serve food I might like. Yogurt served with breakfast. Hibiscus tea available. Local dinner was the best I have had in country other than one restaurant.

There was no soap in the bathroom and the windows couldn’t close due to sunshine past few days. But no biggie.

The hostess was very nice and helpful. We asked her for a mosquito net that was not in the room and she brought it to us. The net had some holes, but we appreciate the effort and at least some protection from mosquitoes. We also wanted bottled water at the accommodation, the hostess didn't have any, but she got it for us and brought us two bottles in the end. She also offered us a good dinner on the balcony with a nice view for a very decent price.

This family guesthouse is a really wonderful experience. We arrived a little earlier than planned and the room was promptly made available for us. They helped with all of our questions & arranged a bike for us and we had a lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. Our stay was absolutely magical! The hospitality was outstanding. [Begum], sorry if I wrote it wrong, was incredibly welcoming and kind. Her behavior was absolutely exceptional, and she spoke English very well, which made everything so easy. It truly felt like a privilege to stay with her. One of the rare people who made us feel completely safe and cared for, without any pressure or intention to make money off us!!She always recommended the best options for our trips, ensuring we had the best experience. The food was delicious— Begum is an excellent cook, and I highly recommend trying her meals! The room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Our private shower was just across our room. Thank you so much for your kindness and outstanding hospitality.

The bathroom is a bit shabby, but clean and functional.

The lady is very helpful. Do not hesitate to ask her for help in planning your trips-she is happy to assist you. She is also willing to prepare a breakfast very early in the morning (if you need to leave early). You can enjoy a perfect view from the shared terrace. It is within walking distance of the central bus station. The room is large, clean and has a perfect view. Definitely value for the price.

Nice large room with a comfy bed, easy chairs, desk and great elevated views out over the hills. Access to a large covered balcony with a table for meals and a great spot for relaxing. Good breakfast and recommend other meals there too. Friendly and helpful host with good advice for your local travel and tours. 15 minute walk to the town centre.

This is a delightful place to stay. The room was huge, balcony where we ate our meals had the most incredible view and there is a short cut to the town which makes it easy to walk.. Our hostess could not do enough for us and her English is excellent

It was generally grubby. Old damaged furniture. The beds didn't have a sheet between you and the blanket. The electrics in the bathroom were alarming. Only one relaxing chair on the verandah. Breakfast not nearly as good as all the other places we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

The views are amazing. The owners are absolutely lovely. They were very helpful and asked us how our stay had been and how they could improve anything. So I feel a little mean pointing out what wasn't great about it as they may change these things.

The bed was rock hard, did not feel comfortable with the bathroom, really dark, there were slippers in there, I think buckets to shower with. Not nice

The plumbing in the bathroom needs attention. More water came out of the hose than the shower head, so used bucket. Didn't try the separate hot water 'system' .

Lovely big bedroom with very large bed and windows. Outside balcony for sitting and dining - magnificent views . Our hostess Begum was lovely and very helpful.
