Everything was awesome 😎. Staff very attentive and friendly. Comfortable room, lovely big bed, clean linen, etc etc... and having a kettle was a bonus. Breakfast was very nice.

Large rooms, great bathrooms with really good & warm showers! Nice white towels. Comfortable bed with the softest pillows in Sri Lanka! Bathrooms v modern and clean. Satellite TV worked well and teenage kids very happy with that. Aircon good 👍 Great breakfast- something for everyone, service with a smile! Really kind and polite staff running the place. Amazing views from the balcony! We gave 3.5kg of washing at 9am and it was all done when we arrived back at 8pm! It smelled very good and was lovely and clean. Thank you so much!

The room was super clean, with large and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was excellent, with its own shower tray and glass screen – not the typical Sri Lankan style where the whole floor gets wet. This made it much more comfortable for us as Europeans. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The only small point is that to reach the city center you need to take a tuk-tuk, but that was not a problem for us.

Staff were fantastic. They picked us up from the train for low cost and gave great advise about local attractions including getting dance tickets and touring around Kandy. Lots of Kandyan and bhuddist stories were explained when visiting the important sights and stupas. Breakfast had 3 choices and all 3 were great. Room had high ceilings, a/c and a tv. Shower was good pressure and temp control. Nice comfortable bed.

I stayed one night at Terrace Kandy with my family and had a wonderful experience. The view from our room was absolutely stunning — a perfect way to enjoy the beauty of Kandy. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, making our stay very relaxing. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety to start the day. What really stood out was the hospitality — the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention to Mr. Ashen, who was especially helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a lovely place to stay with family. I would definitely recommend Terrace Kandy for anyone visiting the area!

The breakfast options were quite limited

We stayed in a room with a balcony and a wonderful view of the city. The room was very clean and beautiful, with everything we needed. The staff was polite and helpful, providing us with many little extras upon request. For a small fee, you can ask for a tuk-tuk ride anywhere, and they can arrange a tour at a good price. They even took us to the train station at 4 a.m. and helped us buy tickets—top-notch service, in my opinion!

At just $11 per night with breakfast included, this guesthouse was an incredible value. The shower was phenomenal, with perfect temperature control and strong water pressure, far surpassing what you’d expect at this price point—it was hands-down the best among ~$20 guesthouses I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Breakfast offered a choice between one Western or three Sri Lankan options; I chose the roti breakfast, which was satisfying in both quantity and quality, served with fresh fruit, coffee, and tea. The room featured a large, comfortable bed with spotlessly clean bedsheets, pillows, and towels. An electric kettle, drinking water, saucers, cups, and glasses were provided, making the stay very convenient. The bathroom was impressively designed, with a glass door separating the shower and toilet areas, a high ceiling, and an exceptional warm-water shower. The staff was plentiful and uniformly kind, ensuring a welcoming experience. The guesthouse is set in a beautiful mountain area surrounded by large trees, with a scenic, natural vibe, and it’s relatively close to town with easy tuktuk access.
