The bathroom was very slippery and the bath took along time to drain.

The staff were helpful and friendly, they cooked a lovely Sri Lankan dinner and the breakfast was good. Very good value for money.

It is difficult to get to, through a somewhat trashy area.

The house is tidy and the view is fantastic. Very nice and helpful hosts, they prepared a delicious breakfast.

Standard rooms may experience problems with wi-fi, it gets cold at night and hot water in the shower is pretty limited. Note that the hotel is remote from the city centre.

It was very clean, everything seems to be new and well-maintained. We had dinner there and it was delicious!

We had a room downstairs and it was freezing cold in there. I think they should provide thicker blankets at least, because there only was a thin sheet and a wool blanket which clearly wasn’t enough.

The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful and spoke perfect English. The common area of the accommodation is nice.

The location is inconvenient, with uphill and downhill paths, and the downhill section was very bumpy. The driver didn’t want to take us down, so we had to walk. When we visited, it was raining and very cold. I mentioned that the blankets weren't thick enough and requested extra blankets. There were only thin blankets provided for each room, and we had to pay an additional $3 for a space heater. We added one heater to each room, but the next day, one of our friends still caught a cold from the cold. There was also some mold on the walls of the room.

They offered red tea upon check-in, and there were no issues with the room overall.

Comfortable Stay with Great Food, but Cold Floors and Bed at Night

Amazing Experience with Comfort, Delicious Food, and Great Hospitality! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and equipped with hot water. The friendly owner went above and beyond, preparing delicious meals that made each day even better. The dining area was lovely, creating a warm ambiance for meals, and there was also a cozy TV area and a well-equipped kitchen for convenience. Highly recommend this place, and I’d love to visit again!

It it very cozy and the staff is very accommodating. I like the vibe of the wood finish of the entire property. The food is good too. By the way, we chose the english breakfast.

Only sillly little things really...a kettle but no tea,coffee or even cups in the room. Even tho it is a restaurant our booking said no breakfast option, but we didn't aşk. , sndvthere is nowhere nearby. wner did make us a pot of tea whilst arranging a taxi for us though. No tv in room but probably could have used one downstairs .Don't follow the directions on Booking.com , use google maps!

Owner was very helpful. Not too far to walk into town and Tuk tuk can be ordered.

Location is quite good, only 10 minutes walk to reach the lake (taking a shortcut). Please be aware that on the way back to the hotel you will need to walk uphill or eventually call a TukTuk. Room was clean! Bed was really comfortable. Fresh fruit for breakfast, best to pre order any meals in advance and agree on a time. The Host was really kind and helpful.. he almost managed to get us train tickets to Ella last-minute. Average price for our stay. External laundry service available.
