We enjoyed our stay in Tea Hills Lake. Lovely comfortable rooms and beautiful views. Staff so warm and welcoming, so hardworking with one member in particular, felt like he was never off duty. He even got up at 3am to help 2 of our party set off to climb Adams Peak armed with flash lights and packed lunches. Up early overseeing breakfast and checkouts showing a passion for his trade that was admirable. Lovely welcome flowers and present a nice touch.

No bar onsite. It would be lovely if they could get a wine licence to enjoy while having dinner as the hotel is remote.

When you first walk in, the view is breathtaking. The decor is gorgeous, rooms beautiful and staff very friendly. One of the most stunning places I’ve ever stayed.

    Slightly disappointed with the food.

Amazing view, the staff friendy and very helpful and the room was large, clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the traditional kitchen was very cool. We wnt for a boat ride in the lake which was fun and relaxing. Overall, it was a very nice experience

We love the hotel itself, the standouts were the exceptional views and the food - which is all homemade by the chef in their authentic Sri Lanka kitchen. For breakfast you can see him making the breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable, with amazing views of the landscape and the lake! All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you guys so much!

We loved everything, but Hatton is a quiet area so just have that in mind - you can go down to the lake for a walk or relax at another hotel with a bar. Bit lovely for a quiet/romantic time.

Hotel is relatively new so everything looks good and works.

We were the only guest for our 1 night stop so it felt a little lacking in atmosphere

Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible views. Waking up here was truly something else. Everything is brand new and clean. The staff has thought of every single detail and they are so friendly and accommodating. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend staying here!

It was in a beautiful location bright and airy with a big balcony overlooking the lake. The manager and the staff were very courteous and especially the chefs went out of their way to accommodate your dietary requirements.Nothing was too much for them, always with big smiles.

We stayed in 3 different accommodations in the hill country. The value for money did not match the facilities as compared to the other two. One of them was a tea estate bungalow and the other a 5 star boutique resort.

Over the past twenty years or so of visiting Sri Lanka we’ve stayed in every type of accomodation - from very budget to more high end…age may well be a factor in that! But we can honestly say that Tea Hill Lake was one of the best. As you arrive you receive an exceptionally warm welcome and are then treated to the most stunning of views from the panoramic reception windows. I can’t stress enough how amazing this location is - rolling tea plantations and the lake from every angle. To wake up in the morning and see those views, smell that air and hear the nature is something never to be forgotten. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are excellent and the food was great. It’s brand new, only opened in Dec 24 and already is running very smoothly, all credit to them. The owner has plans to develop even more elements, the gardens are being planted and we very much look forward to returning next year to see them mature and bed in. An absolute gem of a hotel.

Amazing remote location surrounded by tea plantations and a lake, what a wonderful view to wake up to! Room was very luxurious and furnished to a high standard. We particularly enjoyed the infinity pool. Staff were outstanding and did everything to make our stay comfortable. They even provided us with transport for our Adam’s Peak sunrise summit. You have to stay here!

We were lucky to be the very first guests at this brand new luxurious hotel overlooking tea fields and Castlereigh Reservoir. And we had the most wonderful stay because - our room/bathroom was big and very nicely equipped. The bathroom had a bath tub as well as the best shower we have experienced during our roundtrip in Sri Lanka - the food in the restaurant overlooking the tea fields and Castlereigh Reservoir was excellent - all the staff was very very friendly, attentive and accomodating - especially Mr Sathanahdah took great care of our wellbeing - the views - both from the room and from the roof top terrace are impressive - we enjoyed a walk along the reservoir and the tea fields We would love to come back to this beautiful place if we come back to Sri Lanka!
