The location is perfect for anyone seeking tranquility, surrounded by nature and just a short walk away from an Ayurveda retreat, which added a wonderful dimension of wellness and healing to my stay. Actually it was perfect! If I really need to mention something, we missed the sun beds from the pool side. It has only chairs.

The owner of the place is super hospitable. He accommodated us in the newest wooden house which has the best view. The apartments are surrounded with a well treated, peaceful garden. The host provided us a delicious dinner on the day we arrived and we have never eaten a cheese pasta that delicious. The breakfast was also delicious and filling.

Nothing. But if you don't like eco resorts then this isn't the place for you.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tantor Resort. It is a new resort in the making and is an Eco resort. Currently there are two rooms with more being built. The rooms are in little tree house/ cabins with amazing outdoor covered showers/toilets. The pool is beautiful although I didn't get a chance to use it, and looked super clean. The manager Anu is great and was super helpful and friendly. He was veery welcoming and made our stay great. The staff/woman who made our breakfast and dinner was very kind and the food was great.

We came as a group of 4 people and booked both rooms of the property. The place is absolutely stunning. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. The owner is happy to assist in all kind of questions. Amazing guy. The rooms and the pool are clean, new and way above standard. The place is surrounded by a garden of many different trees and plants. There are always birds to watch. However, apart from the bird noises here and there, the place is absolutely calm and quiet. Perfect place to come down. We had the dinner and breakfast at the place. Delicious and well prepared.

Everything was perfect!

A quite new beautifull location with a magnificent pool in a quiet area with lot's of birds. The huts are furnished with lovely extras. The shower is an open space. While showering you can see bats cruising during the sundown. The food (dinner and breakfast) in front of the Hut was so delicious and lovely prepared. Thanks to the stuff, we had a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately the chef had family problems so we were unable to experience the normal quality of food and service was very very slow but the manager was incredibly apologetic and did what he could to appease the situation.

Wonderful welcome in the evening- hot towels and juice after a long journey. Beautiful settings and great horizon pool; good sized accommodation and indoor/ outdoor shower was unexpected addition. The staff were very accommodating and even booked us our safari jeep and the most amazing guide Amal who was fantastic. Close to all the main safari parks.

The wifi is not the best but the area is perfect for a digital detox.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Habarana Forest but still close to the city center (25 min by walk or 5 min by tuktuk). The area is green, quiet and beautiful. A lot of peacocks are living nearby. The hotel is very eco-friendly with local and natural material. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. The pool is a great addition. The service was amazing, one of the best I've experienced, especially from the lady serving the food. The food was also really good with typical Sri Lankan breakfast and meal, but also international options. They have options for vegetarians/vegans also.

We stayed at Tantor Resort when it was brand new. The rooms are very nicely designed, with two rooms adjoining the pool (the owner told us additional rooms will be added soon). Though there were three of us, the room was spacious and comfortable, the toilet especially was beautiful. The pool was fantastic, we had it to ourselves most of the time and it was well maintained and clean. The staff was helpful, the owner was almost always on site, and ready to organize safaris and tours for us. We also appreciated the location, the place is peaceful and quiet, but still close to the town.

Tantor Resort Habarana is wonderful place and highly recommended. The location is also very near to the Habarana junction. It’s an ideal place for a couple, family and two families and friends. Very calm place and relaxation is 100%. Service is really excellent and Anuradha is always taking care of customers. Sri Lankan foods are offered, and taste is also good. It’s a value for money. Other activities are also easily accessible such as elephant rides, safari in Minneriya park, village tour etc. Swimming pool is also really nice and we can enjoy till night. Surely visit again with friends and families.

Location wise very near to habarana town and place is very relaxing and comforting. Loved the pool and the calm environment. Rooms were clean and they serve homemade sri lankan dishes and asian chinese dishes aswell. Will be visiting soon for another long stay
