It had very peaceful atmosphere on arrival, they helped us check in early. Lovely pool. Clean rooms. Staff very helpful and kind.

Some facilities out of use I.e gym and pool table. Buffet was often cold/luke warm.

This is a small property near Yala. A note of caution: while it’s advertised as a 5-star hotel, it really isn’t—but I was aware of that from the price and the pictures, so I didn’t come in with unrealistic expectations. To my surprise, the stay turned out better than expected. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, with a refreshing drink and a cool towel. The room was standard but spacious, clean, and came with a balcony overlooking the pool. We had the half board option, and the dinner buffet was good. There weren’t too many choices, but the quality was nice and everything was enjoyable. A big plus was that the hotel provided us with a breakfast box at 4 a.m. for our safari, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Overall, considering the competitive price, I think this property delivers great value and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a fair price near Yala.

Great hotel, nice room with enough space for 3 people, really enjoyable swimming-pool. The restaurant was nice. Staff very friendly but sometimes communication was difficult as some of them did not speak a really fluent English. But they tried their best for each of our demand.

The facilities were 1st Class. The big Pool was well looked after and excellent temperature for swimming. Food Excellent

Pool area was great, especially when travelling with kids. Location was excellent as close to a few restaurants and Yala which meant we didn’t have to wake too early for the early morning safari.

Ground floor room standards were variable, we requested a move due to insects in one of our rooms due to a gap in the door. Hotel staff were friendly, responsive and helped resolve the issue.

The staff is amazing, very nice, very helpful, always smiling, everyone is so polite. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the pool is fantastic. They took care of our transfer from the previous hotel and also organized a full day safari to Yala, so we couldn't ask anything they wouldn't help with. We had a very pleasant stay.

Great location for Yala and Bundala Safari. Really friendly staff. Rooms are basic but super clean. The pool is great.

My teens thought the WiFi could be better 😂

Hotel messed up transfer for us sending an inadequate vehicle. Had to send a meal back which was badly overcooked. Internet was intermittent and when it did work was painfully slow. No hot water for two out of three days. Staff are pleasant but many did not understand simple things in English. Eg we ordered a coke and nearly got kottu, a meal, instead. This is our third Sri Lanka visit and we know things can be slow but in a hotel that purports to be a cut above collectively we felt a bit disappointed. To their credit the hotel did reduce our drinks and food bill to apologise but we would much rather that everything was done properly.

The pool area was great for our kids, good air conditioning and housekeeping. Great communication to organise the Safari and other general advice. Staff were great with small kids too.

The dinner start time was too late (7.30pm) for kids.

Had booked a suite and when arrived had to argue to get the room we had booked tried to give smaller room. Food was overcooked (chicken) and undercooked cold in the middle (fish) staff argued and said it was fine and put their fingers in it to check temperature! There is a monastery next to hotel that plays chanting music through a tannoy for 1 hour at 4:45 am ( ok if you are getting up for early safari) Breakfast was the worst we encountered in Sri Lanka in a two week trip when we asked to do laundry and handed them a bag they proceeded to try and empty all our dirty laundry onto the floor of the public reception to count the items and fill Out the sheet this is both embarrassing and unhygienic we quickly said no and gathered up our laundry - other hotels do by the kilo. First afternoon (sat) the hotel was run by a generator which is very noisy and the fumes from the exhaust pumped out directly behind top floor entrances so it fills the rooms with diesel fumes

The pool was lovely and clean, staff were very attentive. Our room was available an hour before check in time and we received a breakfast pack for our 5am safari collection which was great.

Couple of minor points. The battery was missing in the safe so couldn’t use. Bathroom light bulb was out but could manage with over mirror light. WiFi not great in room, worked well on patio.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, great location and very friendly hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized room. Large swimming pool. Good breakfast. Recomendation: Dine at the Chef Lady restaurant about 10 mins walk from the hotel for excellent meals.
