We booked the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and were very satisfied. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a large bed with a comfortable mattress. Everything we needed was nearby – just a 1-minute walk to the grocery store and coconut vendors. Across the street, you can buy delicious fresh-cut fruits. The beach is only a 3-minute walk away. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops, and surf schools in the area.

The hosts are just wonderful - very friendly and helpful . Bed super comfy and the garden view was fab. Trains run behind the back of the guesthouse quite frequently so you will need ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The Sweden Inn is the perfect guesthouse to stay at in Hikkaduwa. The host family are absolutely lovely, the wifi is great, there is hot water, aircon, and it is in right in the middle of Hikka, with the beach just across the road and only a few minutes walk either way to whatever restaurant you desire to eat at. The property is very well secured with cctv all around, and a gated entrance which is locked at night. The rooms also feature a safe which gives you that added security for your valuables. The value for money is unmatched and I doubt you can find anywhere better to stay for the price that you get The Sweden Inn for. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The family who owns the place is super helpful and nice :) the rooms were just like in the pictures and location is perfect since it’s very nearby the beach but it wasn’t noisy at all.

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. A lot of hosts have been welcoming but Chandini truly went above and beyond to make us feel part of the family. She constantly put us at ease and provided help whenever we needed it and was always there to greet us with a smile and a conversation whenever we returned to the guest house. The room was heavenly, the shower was hot and the lovely comfortable four poster bed had a mosquito net, A/C + a fan. We got terribly soaked on a rainy drive home and Chandini even hung our clothes on her own washing line to get them dry for our next day departure, and found us a bus to our next destination, making sure she waited with us and flagged it down. So kind. Her son also arranged a scooter for us for the best price we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! We will definitely be booking again if we return to Hikkaduwa!

The hospitality... Location.. and very clean room.. amenities better than similar priced properties in srilanka. The hostess went out of her way to make our stay wonderful.. always available with a warm smile and some or the other produce from her garden :) We had a slight problem with the airconditioner. Which she got immediately fixed. Overall a wonderful stay!!

Lovely sized room with a huge four poster bed which we loved. The owners are lovely people and make you feel incredibly welcome. Great location too just off the Main Street in Hikkaduwa.

The accommodation is perfectly located, just a 1-minute walk from the beach, right across the street. In the immediate vicinity, there are several charming restaurants within walking distance. The beach also offers plenty of surf schools, making it ideal for surfers of all levels. The entire accommodation was spotless, and the owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A fantastic stay overall!

The lady and family who owns the guest house made our stay here. Cannot do enough for you and so kind, thank you so much. The guest house its self has everything you need - WiFi, hot water, AC, fridge and a safe in the room. Clean and comfy! Really recommend if you’re staying in Hikkaduwa. Perfect location. Loved our stay here and would definitely come back!

It was absolutely perfect for me (solo backpacker in need of a few beach days). The room was extremly good value for money - clean, comfortable, with many pillows and a good mattress. The location was absolutely perfect - three minutes walk to the IMHO best part of the beach in Hikkaduwa, the Northern part of Narigama beach, which is much nicer and quieter than Hikkaduwa beach and is still close enough to the shops and restaurants "downtown". Highlight of my stay were the owners - lovely welcome, sad goodbye, always there with a smile and advice if I needed some, and at the same time absolutely respectful of my privacy. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay!

We were welcomed so warmly by the lady who runs the place. She was so friendly and accommodating from the very beginning. The Ac worked well and the water was hot. The location is very convenient for the beach and close to some nice restaurants.

The water flow in the shower is not enough. And It took considerable time for the room to cool down due to the extremely hot weather.

We loved everything about Sweden Inn. The beautiful owner was so welcoming, friendly, and speaks perfect English. She helped us get settled and advised us about transport. The room was so big and spacious. The A/C was fantastic. The property is in a prime location, yet was quiet and peaceful at the night time. We would love to come back again!

As it was in the pictures, so was the accommodation in real life. It was comfortable, quiet, well equipped with a safe, fridge, air conditioning and mosquito nets. I was completely satisfied with the room and it was very good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can only recommend it to everyone!
