The rooms are not very sound isolated and when it rains there's a lot of noise due to a metallic roof next to the room

The beds are wide and comfortable They provide a plugged in antimosquito

The stay is located on the main road before the entrance that brings to the hike. In front of the stay, there are the shops that can provide you any last minute item you might need (headlight, gloves etc). The room was clean, functional and recently built. Very fast WiFi

We had a warm welcome with tea/coffee offered upon arrival. During the stay the host was very approachable for any questions we had. It’s conveniently located and walking distance to the entrance of Adams Peak. Nice breakfast is served, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Simply furnished but clean homestay, very noisy between rooms Very great breakfast. The town is reachable in 5 minutes. Quite loud in the evening due to music from the town.

Only very minor issues. Bathroom fitter need to return to fix two minor issues I highlighted to Shimon. But none of these issues affected the functionality of the bathroom, and it was clean. Fans or a mosquito repellent would keep mosquitos away from the dining area in the evening, if one were to use it for takeaway food etc. There were no mosquitos during the morning/ daytime in this area. It was difficult to contact the hotel in advance the night before our arrival/ booking to enquire about step-free access, as Shimon finishes duty around 8.30pm and the lobby area gets locked up till the morning, although I was told we can contact another staff member/ ?owner who lives across the street on their phone when the lobby/ reception is closed at night. Omelette could have been made spicier as we requested instead of serving it western style, but it was still very good. Also I am used to having a 2 or more eggs in my omelette, so felt the omelette was a bit of a smaller size. But these are really minor issues, overall we enjoyed the breakfast experience. There were lots of water bottles displayed at the reception desk but none were left in our room. I assume these might have been for purchase. Most hotels provide a bottle of water in the bedroom at least upon checking in. I am nit-picking here, but we would happily return here at the price paid.

Clean bedroom and clean, comfortable, modern looking dining room/ lobby, with sofas. Perhaps because it was only opened in January 2025. Clean bathroom and there was hot water. Welcome drink (we had a full pot of coffee served) on arrival was nice after a long tiring drive there. Although the double bed room we booked was slightly small, it was suitable for my elderly relative as it was at road level and there were no steps to navigate once the one or two steps was taken to get onto the hotels ground level. There was a small table and chairs for sitting on the veranda outside our room and the adjoining room. Other rooms were below ground level with a view towards the woods, but they were bigger rooms. Great, friendly service from Shimon, with our requests attended to. Hotel was not overly busy during our stay. Good communication. At our request Shimon found a mosquito repellent from an empty room (our room had a mosquito net but we preferred to have the plug in repellent for mosquitos outside the bed area, although there weren't many in the bedroom. The bottle was almost empty but it was enough for our 2 nights. Good basic breakfast of ground coffee in clean coffee pot and cups (with milk and sugar for us to add separately), egg, 2 sausages (frankfurter style), 4 slices of toast, Jam, butter and fruits. On our final morning there was a good combination of western (English style) breakfast and some nice Sri Lankan style breakfast items (Roti, dhal and chili chutney (lunu miris)). Service at breakfast was great with the right balance between service and privacy. Sequencing/ interval between served items was also well timed. A late breakfast was served as I requested due to my late return from Adam's peak. We felt very comfortable at Sun Mount. If we return to Adam's Peak we would definitely stay here, (especially after reading some of the absolutely awful replies to negative reviews from an adjoining hotel's owner)

Noisy but didn’t matter for what we needed it for.

Great location for the walk up Adams Peak. The staff were very helpful with a good local place to eat and timings on when to start walking. Also great breakfast in the morning and they allowed for a slightly later check out which wasn’t needed but good to know.

The beds could be more comfortable, quite loud through the thin door. And most importantly: there were no mosquito nets in the windows, which resulted in mosquito bites. And although mosquitoes should not be a surprise, many other places have better solved this problem by simply installing mosquito nets.

The place is completely correct, without special unique things. Good location, beds averagely comfortable. Good service.

I was charged 12,000 for one night and an evening checkout the next day. Seemed like I paid for two nights while also giving them the opportunity to book someone else on the second night. Not sure. At any rate it felt like I was overcharged.

    Comfy bed. Mosquito net.

No mosquito net and the anti-mosquito repellent wasn't very efficient so it can bother during the night. The bathroom is big but there is water everywhere after the shower.

Staff was lovely, the room was nice and big enough for 2. Very easy to go to Adam's Peak from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty. View is nice.

We stayed here one night to walk up Sri Pada. It was a great location. We got up early at 2.30 am and walked the whole trail from the hotel and back. We were able to have our excellent breakfast when we returned and allowed us to check out a little later.
