The place is very clean. We loved the location and authentic vibe. We booked a Safari with the owner and it was a fantastic experience. Our 2 little boys also enjoyed the stay. Owners are very friendly. They even send us our forgotten belongings to our next stay in Ella. That was amazing!!! Thanks Karin and Shantha.

Very authentic, lovely welcoming couple after a 12 hour flight. Bed was so comfortable and air conditioning was great. Highly recommend dinner with fabulous Sri Lankan cooking and home grown rice from their fields, they even went to fetch us wine! Nothing was too much trouble. Surrounded by nature and a great location for yala, much closer than mainstream hotels.

We had a wonderful stay! The family was incredibly warm and welcoming – a lovely couple, with a kind (I think) German lady and her friendly local husband. The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful garden setting. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and made with so much love. They even helped us organize a safari tour and thoughtfully packed a picnic breakfast for us to take along, which was such a sweet touch. Highly recommend staying here for a cozy, homely experience in nature.

I liked everything

Set in beautiful gardens with the birds singing and a lake with pet crocodiles. Lovely owners who made us feel very welcome and served us a tasty meal in the evening. Safari organised by accommodation was good. Short Tuk Tuk ride to the beach to cool off.

The place is full of character and I was looked after marvellously well by my hosts. The gardens, the pond( with crocodiles), and the impressive dining area make this a great place to relax. The use of a bicycle was greatly appreciated as well as the very ample breakfasts. All in all I really enjoyed my stay.

Lovely couple who own this homestay, very warm and friendly hosts. Good room with brand new aircon unit which is needed with the hot climate. As the name of the place says it is surrounded by beautiful nature and a lovely relaxed environment. Very nice breakfast included and they can also provide dinner too which we had one night and was delicious. Dining area is very cosy and well decorated. Hand made pond/lake with 4 crocodiles and we watched them being fed in the morning which was very fun. Great location for Yala National park safari.

We stayed in a bungalow in a beautiful garden. It is a very calm and quiet place you will appreciate especially after visiting busy towns. The friendly owners are ready to give you information and help you with anything. They prepared a lovely breakfast with lots of fruits for us every morning, booked a safari tour and a transport to next destination for us. The bungalow has a water heater, both AC and a fan, a patio where you can relax and watch various birds, chipmunks, peacocks and you can even see a crocodile in the lake. Django the dog will visit you time to time. Take a tuktuk and go to the beach, you can also visit the temple. Several small shops and two restaurants in short walking distance but you can also order your dinner and the hosts will prepare it for you. If we ever happen to visit Srí Lanka again, we would definitely come back!

It was a very beautiful and peaceful place. Well located if you are visiting Yala national park. The place was very clean. We loved the common area. I would point out the hospitability of the hosts, Karen and Shanta were very attentive and lovely with us. 10/10 :)

Very beautiful place. Like living in jungle. Didnt see crocodiles in the lake because there wasnt enough water but still saw lizards and birds. The bungalow was really cozy and comfortable and we got really good dinner. Also we had safari arranged by the hosts and it was the best! Def recommend.

The owners made our whole stay as they were extremely dedicaded to make our stay confortable and relaxing. The common area and garden is beyond beautiful and gives you The perfect relaxation and calmness. The breakfast and food was delicious and we could also have Dinner and Lunch in case we wanted to stay in. Our Personal Highlight were The crocodiles in the pond in the garden where the owner woke us up to feed them. They really took care of everything and made us feel at home. We would definetly come back!

Very nice place to be! Comfortabel rooms, AC, fans, good shower (hot water!), cosy communial space and very friendly hosts that help you in every way they can and also prepare really nice meals. Their special ‘pets’ were fascinating to see especially from so close, although it did result in a constant cautiousness for my kids (and ourselves as well) while walking to the room and back. Due to the bad weather we couldn’t experience a tour to Yala - the park was closed - which they otherwise would have arranged.

Far from main town but not a problem as I was there to go on safari and had my needs all met at the property.

Super unique property with wetlands surrounding it and owner’s special “pets”. Hosts were lovely and arranged amazing safari for me. They are very kind and helpful!! Highly recommend.
