A beautiful accomedation with small villas beside a big and very clean pool and its all right beside the ocean. You get free beach towels and the service is really good. The staff is very nice and open. The breakfast is good and they even provide you with breakfast outside the designated breakfast times. We can only recommend.

Extremely welcoming staff who, after arriving early in the morning after a night train, got us into a room ASAP. Genuinely caring throughout our stay. Breakfast was tasty with fresh fruit everyday. 2 minute walk to the beach- beach towels provided also. A great 6 nights stay which ended our month in Sri Lanka.

Excellent location only 200m from the beach and stones throw from restaurans. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was really good. Laundry available was a nice thing to have.

Comfortable, quiet, pleasant dipping pool, quick walk to the beach. That was great as you can enjoy the beach and it’s “chaos”, then retreat into serenity to watch the crows or wait for the monkey procession. Nice that there are many local eateries in one direction and the touristic beach food and activities the other direction.

Great location as it is a few minutes from the beach a lot of restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and varied each day. Staff helped in booking tours and transportation. Room was basic but did the job.

The laundry service could be improved. Clothing was still moist , not ironed or folded. For 1000.- / kilo , that is a bit underwhelming , and we could have done that by ourselves in the sink / shower.

As you might have seen , most hotels with pools in trinco have bad reviews. This one is the exception ! Staff is kind , pool is clean , breakfast is good and the rooms are both , large , and clean ! Even the bathrooms are clean and not smelly !! Big thumbs up ! Another important info : it is a huge benefit to have a hotel close to the beach , because EVERYTHING (Diving , restaurants , bars ....) is on the beach !

TV couldn’t be plugged because it had the wrong plug on it. The room wasn’t cleaned during the stay or bin emptied. Air con unit clicked constantly during the night. Mosquito net had holes in it.

Excellent location as it’s three mins from the beach, comfy bed. I liked the fact that the villas were separate. Staff very friendly.

Change the bed sheets and towels more often. Rooms and beds could be a bit cleaner.

So-J is perfectly situated, just a two-minute stroll from a wonderful stretch of Uppuveli Beach. This part of the beach strikes a great balance, offering enough restaurants and a diving school for convenience, yet remaining quiet enough for a truly relaxing experience. The accommodation consists of small, very clean villas with excellent air conditioning. The pool is refreshing, and the breakfast is amazing – a fantastic start to each day. Most notably, the staff are incredibly helpful and super friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. So-J is an ideal spot for a peaceful and convenient beach holiday!

A lovely little villa very close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and the staff were lovely. Special mention for Rajah, who is very helpful and friendly with a good sense of humour. They now have a pool and I was pleased that I was one of the first to try it!.

All staff were wonderful,location was great- just a few steps from a beautiful beach. Very clean, comfortable house with incredibly comfortable beds! Good aircon:) Tasty breakfast, we stayed 6 nights and breakfast was different every day with a consistently fantastic selection of fresh fruit:) they were busy finishing building the swimming so got a bit noisy at times but the owner offered us a discount and apologised for the noise. Overall, we had a great time and the people made it a really great experience and made us feel really welcome:)

There was a whisper of a wifi signal, but the quality was so poor it was virtually useless. At the moment, there’s a lot of construction work going on on the property to build a restaurant and kitchen for the upcoming main season.

Lovely and spacious bungalow very close to the beach. Big and comfy bed! The hotel manager as well as all staff we met were very kind and helpful.

They provide small and cute villas which contain all you need. Photos are relevant to reality. We lived in villa 2. Room is quite spacious for family from 3 people. Bedsheets were clean and fresh. Beds were extremely comfortable! AC and boiler worked without failure. Territory is small but well-conditioned. Location is about 5 minutes from popular beach. Breakfasts were the same as provided in the most hosts in Sri Lanka. They gave us different dishes every day. Host was welcoming and helped us to organise fishing. I kindly recommend them!

Got some troubles from ants in the room. Couldn't keep any food inside.

Near the beach and trinco town, villa type so no disturbances. The room is lovely with comfortable beds. The bathroom is also clean and tidy with all facilities. Worth the pay and the staff is friendly,helpful.

The AC was not super strong, WiFi did not work in the room.

The staff allowed us to leave our baggage for a few hours after checkout and take a shower in their extra bathroom after we returned from snorkeling before heading out of town. Great locations 2 minute walk to the beach.

We stayed here for a week and loved it! Great location, couple minute walk down the lane to the beach. Lovely breakfast every morning, room is basic but clean and all you need. Host was very helpful and helped us organise tuktuk’s and day trips for whale watching and to pigeon island. Great guy, very friendly. Had a great stay here and really recommend!

It was very basic for a family. Rooms were not cleaned up daily. We stayed for 2 days so we didn’t mind it.

Location was great, just about 2 mins walk to the beach. Owner was very friendly and we fell in love with his pet dog, Reshma.

We paid for a dolphin/whale tour and a snorkelling tour online and were overcharged by another company. We found out that So-J offers these tours at much better prices. Wished we’d known before we pre-booked with someone else.

Raju the Manager was very helpful. The breakfast was great (first morning was omelette and toast) and (second morning was banana pancakes). Breakfast is the same for all guests. The location is excellent for walking to the beach down a track.

Noise from monkeys running over the roof. I saw a rat running in the kitchen. Some bedsheets need replacement.

Breakfast was great. Help by the host. Practical room with good bed and enough space for clothes and luggage. Laundry service. Near the sea.
