We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. GermanyThat we had only booked four nights. We will definitely be back! Other than that only a minor criticism: The water pressure in the top room, which we had, is a little low.
Hands down the best place we stayed at during our 15 days in Sri Lanka. It's such a wonderful place close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Here's a list of a few highlights: - wonderful garden with a spectacular view toward the sea - beautiful room with a comfy bed, big balcony, kitchen with filtered water dispenser, fridge, seating are, large bathroom, Air Condition, and views all around - the best breakfast, different every day and always plenty - not included, but definitely worth the money is the home-made ice cream - it was basically my lunch every day ;-) - 15 minutes walk to Silent Beach - many great restaurants in walking distance

IndiaI did the lack of the swimming pool at Slow. I was disturbed at night by the presence of geckos in the bedroom — it surely needs to be taken care of by the host.
Had a very pleasant stay at Slow. True to its name, the place is very relaxing and has an amazing view. However, do not that the climb is very steep and not accessible by regular cars. The host provides a pick-up from the main road in its tuk tuk. Had amazing coffee and fresh juices.

Beautiful calm private place, we stayed a couple of days and enjoyed every second. Dinidu and the whole team is great host and very very helpful. This was the best place we stayed in whole Sri Lanka! The food is awesome, best specialty coffee in Sri Lanka we had and amazing vegan food options!

An island in the sky offering true luxury in a private setting. Breathtaking views of both sea and jungle. Quiet, comfortable and clean. Attention to detail is of the highest level both in terms of design, comfort and service. Staff are attentive and kind. The cafe serves homemade ice cream and the best coffee in Sri Lanka. Breakfasts are uniquely local and delicious. Great restaurants nearby. Close to Tangalle, Hiriketiya, and some of the best beaches and surfing in the area. I've been visiting Sri Lanka since 2014 and this is by far the nicest place I've stayed. Book it!
