Best family guest house of all Sri Lanka. We have had the best breakfast of all our trip at their home, this family is enchanting, very nice and welcoming. The location is perfect to visit Little Adams Peak and Nine Arches Bridge at Ella. Highly recommended, you will not regret this stay!!

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved the hosts and the location. The rooms and bathroom are large and spotlessly clean, the terrace has wonderful views and the location is close enough to Ella central town to be convenient but without the noise from the main strip. Most importantly, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, professional and generous in sharing their knowledge of the area. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and all home-cooked. I hope one day we can return.

This is a fantastic place that captivates with its charming atmosphere. The rooms are clean and cozy, making you feel right at home from the start. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, creating an experience that feels like visiting close family. The terrace is a perfect spot for relaxation. Breakfasts are delicious, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to Ella’s main attractions. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking comfort and a homely atmosphere!

Such a lovely family run place. They were so nice. Breakfast great. They ran us around in their own TukTuk to wherever we wanted. Room basic but fine. Great value

Little bit of street noise came through into the room but this was generally pretty minimal after 10-11pm.

This was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Only 20 mins walk from the train station. The host family is absolutely lovely, especially their daughter Shani who was dutifully in charge of our hospitality during our stay. Sri Lankan breakfasts were absolutely delicious, great location just out of the main drag but 15 mins walk to all the shops/restaurants etc on the main road. Only 3 min walk to the trailhead of both Nine Arches bridge and Little Adams Peak. We had a great stay and would love to stay again. We were on our honeymoon and let them know in advance and they made some beautiful floral bouquets from the garden for our room with their well wishes for our marriage. They also organised transport to out next accommodation on the coast for a very reasonable price.

Wifi is slow but nothing to complain 😊

This Homestay is absolutely stunning and words can’t express how welcoming and heartwarming the family is😊 they serve a big local breakfast every morning which is very delicious. They also have their own tea in the garden that I can also recommend. The room is big and very clean. The father built many things of the Homestay himself with lovely details. It’s very cozy! They even took care of our laundry and have a cute dog. The location is perfect to reach 9 arch bridge (15 minute walk) and little Adam’s Peak (25 minute hike). We also loved that it’s not on the busy noisy main road and it’s only a 10 minute walk in to the Center of Ella. This was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka and can highly recommend it. My only problem was the access to the property which is up several stairs .

This is a lovely family run home stay ,so very welcoming the family are lovely it’s also very comfortable. It’s in a convenient location away from the main town of Ella but easily walkable. Its central to visit the 9 Arches bridge also The breakfast was very good with lots of choice .

Amazing stay in Sky Garden Ella. Such a lovely family, who only want to take care of you during the stay. Their recommendations of what to do each day was super. The location to Little Adams Peak, Nine Arches Bridge and the town of Ella was so convenient. They even had a safe place to park our Tuk Tuk. The homemade breakfasts each morning were delicious. Definitely the best Rotti we had. Also the beds were heaven! Super comfy

Ella Sky Garden, maybe our favourite place. Its a 2 room hotel, understand this. Its run by the most friendly family ever. The owner, his wife and their two daughters are keen to talk to you in English sinve they are learning the language better. Breakfast is Sri Lankan eggs and pancakes, delicious. The room has no AC but a fan, and a mosquito net. You may start without the blanked but find yourself covered when you wake up. Ella lies at 1000m so the nights are cool. The room is situated at the end of a steep stairs and in a lush jungle garden.

The accommodation was wonderful—our host, a skilled carpenter, built everything himself, from the windows to the beds, all pure craftsmanship! The host family was incredibly sweet and made us feel at home. A special thanks to the daughters for serving our meals. Truly a fantastic family!

The place felt a bit too damp for my liking, and the shower pressure was somewhat low.

The couple running the place were incredibly kind, providing amazing service throughout my stay. They even went the extra mile by packing my breakfast for the train and personally dropping me off at the station. The location is also excellent—close to the main attractions and conveniently near the town center.

Nothing. It's perfect.

Stunning! This was my favourite homestay in Sri Lanka. From the modern and immaculately clean rooms with mosquito nets, to the loan umbrella thoughtfully left out front that I used to climb Little Adam's Peak, to the french press coffee and the huge and delicious breakfasts, to the squirrel playing in the trees a metre away, everything was perfect. Its a 10min stroll from the busy main road, and the start of little adam's peak (25mins to top) and 9 arches Bridge (7mins to get there) are suuuuper close, dont miss either of these. Thanks mr Thushara and family!

I felt at home, thank you very much The bed was amazing and the room really beautiful Hot water every time The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I highly recommend this house for everyone want something really convenience for visiting the most important touristic place. (Very close by walk) and knowing such a great family. If I go back to Ella, it will definitely be there

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and well located place run by a really friendly couple with their daughter helping out too. Very generous hosts, e.g a very filling breakfast, helping arrange onward transport. Lots of local restaurants nearby. It's a 20 minute walk to central Ella, but nice to be a little away from it. Sky Garden Ella is literally 5 minute walk from start of trails to Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arches Bridge. Would happily return and recommend.

Absolutely nothing, was perfect!

If you're looking for accommodation in Ella that is both private but also makes you feel part of the family, look no further. Thashara was responsive from the day of arrival, organising to pick me up in his tuk-tuk from the train station. The room was so clean and lovely, with large very comfy bed, luggage store and beauty corner (with mirror and hairdryer). The breakfast was absolutely incredible (see photo) serves by Thashara's lovely daughter on the terrace of the room overlooking their beautiful gardens. The location is incredible, in the quieter section of town (but still plenty of restaurant choices for dinner and only 15mins walk into the main section of town) and 2min walk to the trailheads for both little Adams peak and nine arches bridge. A perfect base for your travels - look no further than Sky Garden.

Not much warm water at once, but its just a matter of time management of who when has a shower. Wifi sometimes off..but who does really need wifi in such a beutiful place?:-)

Absolutely the best accomodation, hosts and breakfast in Sri Lanka!!! Fabulous location just out of the main st of Ella, 50 m to nine arches trail head. Beautifully appointed rooms, excellent value. Cannot recommend enough!
