Very minor point….more decor in rooms and more choice of Sri Zlankan food on evening menu, eg Dahl veg curries etc.

Excellent breakfast. Boss and host an amazing man who did everything to make trip magic. He organised all our trips transfers and excursions. Lovely man as were all staff.

Where to start. This is a truly amazing place, a nice oasis of peace and comfort. Absolutely remarkable staff (all of them!!). We felt very welcome from the first moment we set foot on the property. We were helped with all our queries in small outings and recommendations. The rooms are spacious, clean and with great beds (!). Even with 4 in the family room it felt large. The pool is clean and good for relaxation after an activity. Breakfast was fantastic, all freshly made to order.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! Truly the best host we’ve ever encountered – incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, the swimming pool was wonderful, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The host even went out of his way to find a little bike for our youngest son (4 years old) who really wanted to ride along, which we appreciated so much. Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing that could have been better… except maybe that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended!

The air condition was a little loud but turning it off a night worked out.

We have enjoyed our time a lot. The owner is very helpful and very mindful to give advise or arrange tours. The property is lovely arranged with a lot of plants to catch some shade. We even have been invited to plant a tree. ඔයාට ස්තූතියි!

We had a very nice stay at Sigiriya Cottage. The owner of the place was an excellent host that made us fell at home right away and was fantastic recommending and organising tours. The highlight was the safari at Minneriya park with a great guide taking us around between several elephant groups in the park. Also, we loved the trip to the big Dambulla market and sunrise hike to see the Sigiriya Rock. The green facilities created a nice atmosphere and were well maintained, especially we loved the nice relaxing pool area. Lastly, we really enjoyed supplementing our traditional breakfast with very tasty pieces of Sri Lanka breakfast.

The host greeted us and gave information about the area, made suggestions for historical site visits, recommendations for times of day to visit, would help sort transport if required etc. The room was comfortable although could have done with a couple of chairs to sit on. The Sri Lankan breakfasts were great, very filling. As we were at the end of the season we missed out on evening meals as the restaurant was closed so we ate at a new local cafe/restaurant a few minutes down the road or ordered take aways from them. The swimming pool was great too. Lovely to cool off in!

We enjoyed a lovely stay here. The breakfast is fab and sets you up for a day exploring. The swimming pool is fab to cool down after a day exploring. We were treated very kindly and really appreciated the staff help with tours and travel arrangements. Just a great first experience for us in Sri Lanka.

Situated in a beautiful area with a lovely pool and grounds. Rooms were big and very clean. Staff were amazingly helpful with arranging taxis and tuktuks, and also recommendations of things to do/see. Fabulous authentic breakfast at a great price. Highly recommended.

We thought there was also a restaurant, but that was close because of ‘off season’. The beds at the pool are not really comfortable and damaged.

In the middle of the jungle. Only sound of peacocks and other birds. A lot of nice places to relax and a nice swimming pool. With a tuktuk or bike you are in the main street in 5-10mins.

Brilliant place, great location and very helpful staff. Had a nice pool and bikes included to get into town and do the cycle route around the lakes which was well worth it
