The manager and the staff were very helpful. Every time when we had questions they gave us good advice what to visit or where to eat. We had the option to eat fresh fried eggs, omelet or scrambled eggs every morning!

All my compliments! The staff were not only professional but also genuinely friendly and welcoming. I was warmly received, and they proactively offered their help whenever I needed it – truly outstanding! What impressed me even more was the care they showed for my safety and well-being even after my departure, such a thoughtful gesture. The property is in a perfect location, and the room was beautiful with a stunning view of Lion Rock. They went above and beyond my expectations!

The owner and staff were brilliant! They couldn’t do enough to help us (but were in no way pushy!) and arranged lifts to/from town, elephant safari and transport for our onward journey. The pool was lovely and breakfast was great. The view from the roof top/breakfast room was amazing and the location was really quiet. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend!

Very nice hotel with swimming pool and an amazing view on the Sigiriya Rock. The breakfast and food were delicious. But what we liked the most was the staff! Incredibly welcoming, kind and available to help and support with any kind of request. Dinu was very helpful to organise safari and other local experiences in Sigiriya, as well as willing to help us with our needs during our stay. We felt like home in this beautiful place! We would really recommend it for those travelling In Sigiriya.

I recently stayed at Sierra Sigiriya for three nights with my mum, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The service we received was exceptional, with Dinu and the staff—Lahiru, Anushka, and Heshan—being incredibly polite, kind, and attentive to our needs. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The pool was absolutely wonderful, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Sigiriya from the restaurant; it was truly magical. The food Iwas all fresh and locally prepared by the staff, making every meal a delight. Dinu also organized all our outings, expertly guiding us to the sights without any hassle; we felt so well taken care of. I can't rave about this experience enough! Sierra Sigiriya is a must-stay destination, thanks to the wonderful staff and the incredible location. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Great stay at Sierra view. Spacious and comfortable rooms, good facilities and the location is great, quite and peaceful with amazing views of lion rock. The staff were fantastic in lahiru, Dinu, Anushka and Hesahan went out of their way to make sure we were looked after well. It is a little bit out of the way so you will need to get transport down to the main area if you want to have dinner out. But the walk is quite nice in the early evening. Also not expensive to get a tuk tuk. But the views are amazing and it is very peaceful.

No roomkeeping, we would have appreciated if at least the trash was taken out - but we only stayed for two nights. There was also a party taking place right above our heada until after the midnight which wasn’t exactly pleasant.

A nice, spacious room and bathroom, everything was clean. Very good breakfast with plenty of fruit. The staff was great, always smiley and helpful! If we had more time, we would definitely have accepted their offer to arrange a safari trip for us.

Our stay at Sierra View was unforgettable. We originally planned to stay just a couple of nights, but we ended up extending because it felt like home from the very beginning. The location is perfect — a little outside of town, but it gives a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The property itself is beautiful and well cared for, with a pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring the area. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the top had amazing views — ideal for starting the day with some yoga and meditation. The bathroom was very spacious, and we slept incredibly well each night. Breakfast was a treat — generous, delicious, and made with so much care by Hessan, who was very attentive. He made sure we always had everything we needed. But what made this place truly special were Lahiru and Dinusha —. They were more than just hosts — they became friends. They took us to places we never would have discovered on our own as tourists, shared about the local culture, and gave us the chance to experience Sri Lanka in a truly authentic way in Poya day. Their kindness touched us — they’re two people we’ll carry in our hearts, and they perfectly represent how warm and welcoming the Sri Lankan people are. Thank you for such a special experience. We hope to come back one day!

Lovely little hotel! Short drive away from the main village where there were restaurants etc. The staff were very kind and helpful and even arrange cabs/tuktuks for me to climb Lions Rock at sunrise.

The walls in the room need a new paint, and the cables shouldnt hang from the wall. The entry road is approx 50m, but very destroyed, some gravel to level up the street would be useful. Otherwise its a nice place.

Very nice place with a great view on the lion mountain. Great pool, brekkie was also nice, people too. I can recommend.

Nothing to mention, everything went smoothly and the staff made us feel well taken care of.

If there’s one thing I highly recommend, it’s ordering food here, the staff cook with care and passion, and the meals are absolutely delicious. The team was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They arranged a half-day safari for us when we had a free afternoon, and it turned out to be a great experience. Their safari guide was kind and really tried to help us spot as much wildlife as possible in Minneriya National Park. They also arranged a tuk-tuk for us at 5 AM so we could climb Sigiriya Rock in time to catch the sunrise, unforgettable!

Maybe a towelclean would have been nice for our 3 nights-stay.

The staff are very friendly and very kind to kids. They cook excellent food in the restaurant. Nice for young kids who can sleep in the room and parents can have a relaxing diner. Pool was big and clean. A bit out of town, for us that was perfect. Room is basic but ok.
