I originally wanted to see monkeys, but didn’t spot a single one. The location is a bit far—you can only take a taxi to the city center. However, it’s very close to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and you can get there on foot.

It offers good value for money. The room is relatively small, but it is well-equipped with all necessary items, feeling cozy and minimalist. Considering its price, it is indeed a great choice.

We did not find this an issue but some might. It is a 20 minute walk to the temple of the tooth (no need to go around the lake, there is a short cut close to the temple). Note that once you are down the hill (5 min walk), tuk tuks are plentiful if you would rather not walk

The location is wonderful if you want to be away from the noise of the city. The balcony overlooks the park ... sp peaceful and beautiful. The owner was kind and helped procure a tuk tuk for us for a middle of the night departure to catch a train. The room was fine.

The hospitality of the owner mam is fantastic and very helpful. Always smiling, friendly. Nice place with a balcony view, clean and wide beds, bathrooms. It was more like staying at a family member's place than a strangers place.

Nice spacious room on the edge of the park/forest. Clean. And, yes, there were monkeys on the balcony on the first morning, and a least a dozen more nearby. . The second morning I saw the same family down the hill. It's not far from the center. I walked it one day. The Tooth Relic is really close. I was there on a weekend and found no nightlife except for two places just down the hill from here. One mostly Sri Lankans and across the alley mostly foreigners. Both very lively with dance music.

We only stayed for one night with the intention of seeing the cultural dance, we were helped out massively with tickets from shrine inn and it was only a short walk to the cultural centre in town, the lake in lovely to walk around too. The room was comfortable and clean and had a gorgeous balcony with a view.

Very clean and functional space. Fan was perfect for my needs. Good balcony that looks onto somewhat vacant space. Very good breakfast with plenty of tea, which is greatly appreciated. Friendly host without being intrusive. About a 15 minute walk to the main area.

The room is very clean. Close to the kandy lake club where you can see a drum show and within walking distance of town centre. The lady on the premises is very kind and helpful, she kindly gave me an umbrella when I was leaving as it was raining saving me the hustle and time to go buy one. I would stay there again.

The hot watter is not that hot, but because of the weather is honestly ok. You still can do it

Amazing view just in front of a natural forest. Every day staying there, we were able to see a family monkey in our balcony. They were sharing or sleeping there and we took beautifyl pictures and saw them from close without invading them. It was an unforgettable experience.

Great location. Close enough to walk into town but far enough away for it to be quiet (we didn’t feel like we were in a city). The hosts were SO lovely. Delicious breakfast included, with tea and coffee. Very comfortable, clean room. Mosquito nets provided. Hot water available. Host got us cheap tickets for the dance show at the cultural centre. Also organised a tuk tuk to the train station.
