It is not possible to pay by card (probably it was mentioned on the confirmation, I can’t remember) but you can pay cash in Euro or Dollars.

Nice location and excellent staff. Rooms are very comfortable, super clean and the fluffy fleece sheets keep you warm in the night. A yummy Srilankan style breakfast is served in the morning. I will surely go back if in the area again as Chaminda, the owner, is very nice and helpful

The house is located a bit far from the center so we took a tuk tuk every time we wanted to go there. Also we didn't feel very comfortable walking around the area during the night. But this also means that is very quiet during the night and we rested very well every night.

The owners are very welcome and always offering their help and suggestions based on your needs. He explained to us the different options for things to do and visit and he arranged for us a tuk tuk driver which was amazing. The driver Suni, took us to different view points, waterfalls and tea factory. The driver was the owners brother which also took us back to the train station in our last day for a good price. The breakfast was also really good and tasty.

First of all, the room is clean, comfy and spacious. There is a common space to enjoy coffee and tea. The breakfast was above expectations, good quantity and the taste was fantastic. Then the hosts are amazing. Their recommendations are super valuable. Chami the host drove us around and spent a lot of time with us. To be honest it felt amazing to have such a welcoming host and we felt very lucky to have that experience. It was maybe one of our best days in Sri Lanka. If you're arriving they can offer a pick up for a small fee. We're already looking forward to our next visit! We will not only come back as guest but also as friends.

Beautiful room. Very clean and no smell at all! The bed is really comfy and the blanket keeps you warm during the night (it’s getting cold in Nuwara Eliya during the night, so you need it!). Breakfast is huge and really delicious. The owner is really cute.

We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.

Every morning at 6.30am, and in the evening, you can hear the Muslim call to prayer, which is broadcast over the loudspeakers throughout the village. This has nothing to do with the accommodation itself. Just bear in mind that different religions live together in this area. This did not bother us, in fact it was an interesting experience.

We were greeted by the family. The young man helped carry our bags into the room. He offered us tea and coffee. He was very polite and helpful. He did his job with heart and love. The accommodation is in the mountains at an altitude of about 2000m. In the evenings the temperature drops to about 15C. You need to wear a jacket in the evenings. The locals also wear wool hats. But this is clearly unnecessary. Double fleeces for sleeping in the room. It's good to be able to wear a blouse with longer sleeves if you're afraid of the cold. The room is nice and clean. Comfortable beds. TV in the room. Common dining area for three rooms with fridge. Breakfast was made by the hostess. It was delicious: toast, jam, butter, sausages, fruit, pancakes, jackfruit sauce on bread.

My stay was wonderful. The room was lovely, clean and a decent size. In particular the bed was very comfortable. The hosts couldn't have been kinder. They let me borrow an umbrella (as it was very rainy!) and recommended an Indian restaurant in the nearby town which was possibly the best Indian food I have ever eaten. They also drove me there free of charge. They put on a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast early the next morning as I was leaving for an early train, and took me to the train station. I also accidentially left my phone in their car, and they rushed back to get it to me before my train departed, for which I was so so grateful. I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend Shevyhaws.
