Location hospitality and rooms extremely couteous staff ..true value for money

Everything was good. As this area has a lot of gardens and fresh veggies, it would have been nice to see this reflected a little more as part of our dinner plate (we took the halfboard).

Super friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. View on the lake from our room was amazing. Comfortable bed (we slept like babies). Generous breakfast. Good value for money.

It's remote, so best to book halfboard. And from Apr 1 to 20 every year the Eliya NY festival at the race course delivers lots of party noise also reaching Serenus, but it stops somewhere 11 PM hence still enough sleep.

For over 100 $/night, expectations are high but by and large the hotel meets them. It's boutique in the positive sense, with all details attended to. Steep steps to climb to reach bed on top floor of room so had to take extra care. Could do with more lighting on top floor as only 1 light so was a bit dark compared to lower floor. Towels on floor in bathroom slipped on floor so have to take care when stepping on them. Mum doesn't eat onion and garlic and there was a piece of onion in her breakfast fruit platter so explained to manager importance of avoiding food contamination as some people may have allergies.

Nice welcome on arrival. Spacious and clean room and bathroom. Large balcony with amazing views, including of the lake. Friendly manager and staff. Heater provided in room. Enjoyed indian meal and dosa for dinner. Chef made dosa sambhar without onion and garlic for mum who doesn't eat them. Nice to have the option of warm water with meal. Only stayed 1 night in Nuwara Eliya and heavy rains when we arrived so unable to explore the surrounding area on foot.

This was our second time staying here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff remembered my husband and I from last time and we really enjoyed our stay. Dinner and breakfast were great and the staff are so friendly. The views from the lake are great

Too many flies in the room. Reaching the property is bit of a challenge due to steep incline. However, the property is close to the lake or park so there is some advantage to it.

Triple room with lake view indeed has a great view. Room is spacious and has the use of attic space is nice.

Nothing to dislike……

The check in was easy with a cup of tea. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Comfortable bed, curtains for a darkened room and quiet. The breakfast was excellent too. Finally not to forget the view of the lake…….stunning.

If you have fear from heights then better to book two rooms instead of one room with 2 king beds because one of the beds it’s located upstairs and it’s somehow to reach and come down

Serenus boutique villa exceeded my expectations every way. The serene ambiance, coupled with stunning lake views, provided the perfect relaxing getaway. Whether you are exploring Nuwaraeliya city or nearby places, this place offers unforgettable experiences. I should mention that the staff is very friendly and supportive in every way. Manager Dushan and his team Chiran, Praveen, Senith, Raju, and Umesh were providing exeptionall service during our stay. Suite was clean and tidy, Foods were delicious. I am highly recommending this place to anyone.

The place was amazing. The lake view was everything for us ! They served delicious meals and the chef personally spoke with us regarding the meals. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was definitely a wonderful stay !

It is not what we didn't like but some suggestions to further improve the room conditions. The room had only one power point to charge the phones, boil water in the kettle and use the hair dryer. Hope the management can add an additional power point in the room. The adjustable mirror in the toilet was too high and couldn't be lowered. Not suitable for people who are short! The villa provides good breakfast and dinner but no lunch. It would be good if they could add some simple lunch menu for tourists who may want to eat in sometimes.

We received very warm welcome from everyone at the villa especially Chiran, the Assistant Manager. They were so helpful and attended to all our requests. Ashan, the waiter, always served us with a smile and attended to all our meal needs. Overall, the service provided by everyone in the villa exceeded our expectations! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cosy villa that faced the lake and beautiful mountains.

Staying in this hotel is a mind blowing experience. Hotel is located at an elevated location and just opposite to the beautiful Gregory lake. The sight from hotel room balcony is so picturesque and one can see view of Tea Estate, Beautiful lake and cloud kissing mountain in one frame. Room is very spacious and so is balcony. Room is kind of duplex and quite innovative in design. The hotel staff is very courteous, friendly and helpful. Their kitchen serves very tasty food and we all enjoyed. They have DJ room, Shishaw bar and firewood place too. We stayed there for one night and wanted to stay more but we had other things planned so couldn't. Would visit again for sure.

Elegant beautiful place, with excellent maintenance , so it looks as new. The View from the balcony was amazing,the best view in this town. Food was very delicious. The staff and manager are amazing persons, kind,polite,helpful,intelligent. The disco and karaoke room was an extra bit of pleasant surprise,it's so well equipped and it was such a good fun after the dinner ,which gives great entertainment to our small group of friends. Our stay was a 5* experience. Amazing place,highly recommended!

Didn't like the switching of lights and most of the time had climb the stairs in darkness. Also staff and manager staying around during breakfast.

The people were great there! They organized us a tour to horton plains and further to the next hotel. The rooms and the equipment were impressive. The breakfast was the best we received on our whole journey! We can recommend it 100%!

A little far from center of town but only an easy tuktuk ride away.

The service was wonderful, English spoken well, local information was detailed and correct. Walking distance to a strawberry farm for fancy strawberry and cream. Wonderful fresh vegetable salads and traditional sri lanka foods prepared by a chef. Showers hot and fantastic view from the warm rooms.
