There were some insects, there are a lot of them on the island in general, but the owner brought us a special spray. The problem was solved.

Great location, quiet area, very close to the ocean. Clean room. The second floor was fully to our disposal. There was everything you need. Very nice and responsive hostess.

To my opinion this place can be better and cleaner, especially the kitchen. It requires some new stuff like pots/pan, TV in the main room would be excellent decision.

If we are talking about the price/quality range - it’s a really cool place with a hot water, air conditioning, comfortable bed, very good location (3 minutes to the ocean, good restaurants, wine shop). It’s very safe here, owners are polite and friendly, you can leave your money and other things without any worries. Kitchen allows you to cook everything you need, fridge is big, even some type of multicooker presented. We were satisfied and paid 300$ for a month, which is veeery reasonable price. Good place to leave your things out and travel around the country)

Lovely area to start our Sri Lankan trip. Shanika, her husband and lovely neighbour's gave us lots of helpful advice and tips. They offer an airport pickup too. The lane is quiet and gives you an insight into real Sri Lankan life.

That I didn’t find it earlier

The apartment was better than nearly all I stayed at in Sri Lanka for half the price. Very spacious and comfortable. Shanika is an amazing host and the family were lovely. The location is perfect in central Negombo a stones throw from the ocean. Also they have a beautiful dog named Huskie ❤️

Beautiful apartments with generous balcony to sit and relax, run by a very nice family and friendly dog. Our host, Shanika was lovely and attentive and even offered to pick us up from the airport. Highly recommend!

Apartment is above the main house with very steep stairs and no handholds. Not ideal for anyone in the “seniors” category ie. Me! Booked for 2 nights with midnight flight on 2nd day. 1st night - Sunday night was a nightmare with huge explosions from fireworks at midnight and party music with both sounding like they were coming from a property very nearby. Not the fault of the hosts but .. Some outdoor seating provided on the balcony would be a huge plus.

Location was very nearby the beach. Very comfortable bed. Own kitchen for cooking a bonus. Hosts were wonderful and provided a free pickup late at night from the local railway station and a drop service to the airport for a modest fee.

the kitchenet wasnt very equipped the fridge hadnt been plugged in so it was a bit mouldy.other than that it was nice

the family was so kind. they picked us up from the airport and met their 3 girls sethumi, sajel and sejin who my daughter got along with very well, the location was just opposite the beach however its nit the best for swimming as the waves were quite strong. Shanika the owner made us an amazing fish curry. the bed was very big and fit the three of us and there was great air con.we felt really safe and welcomed thanks to the family
