We were a bit further out of town than I would have liked. I lost my shoes as l left them out side the room and a dog took one of them. Do Not leave your shoes outside your room!

The location wasn’t ideal - the host was able to transport us sometimes which was great, but organising our own taxi/tuk tuk for 5 people wasn’t easy. A lot of the tuk tuk drivers in Ella seemed surprised by the location and had to pore over google maps for some time before agreeing to take us! We couldn’t arrange a taxi for less than 1000 LKR (some previous reviews said 500 but we were laughed at trying to haggle from there!). So for 5 people that was double for two tuk tuks. But it was good to escape the bustle of the town.

Lovely setting - as a family of 5 we took both rooms ( the family room would be too squishy for 3 teenagers and 2 adults together). The food was excellent and the family friendly, happy to do anything they could to help.

A bit far from Ella center (30 min by foot). You can order a tuk tuk with the hosts but make sure to haggle prices.

The staff was really helpful and nice. The room is modern as well as the bathroom and you have a covered outdoor space which is very pleasant.

Very helpful family with a super cute cat. Property is ten minutes from town about 500-700 lkr depending on your negotiation w tuktuk drivers. Very quiet at night with some early evening peaceful chanting can be heard from nearby monasteries. Suburb dinner from family. First time I had a traditional Sri Lankan dish. So grateful.

The family was nice and kind to us, the lady cooks very very well, they’re well organised, prices are fair enough, they have tuk tuk or scooters available, shower pressure and temperature was amazing, good connection of WiFi…. We’ve enjoyed seen différents animals from their beautiful garden 😍

The place is a bit outside of ella and a little bit difficult to reach.

Very clean and comfortable bath and bedroom. You have your own terrace and a balcony with an incredible view. The family is very welcoming and always willing to help. The food is very tasty. We spend our second time there because the place feels like home.

The property was in a lovely area with views of surroundings mountains and it really felt like you were very much in nature. The room was lovely and very clean, and the bathroom was very nice too. The owners helped us to plan what we should do in Ella, and they made excellent food too.

Loved it all, just be aware that you’ll need a bike/scooter or a reliable tuc tuc driver to get you anywhere.

Location is very bad. Only use tuk tuk. Dog is very friendly. So it's problem. Bathroom and toilet are very nearly. If you use it you will be wet. Room is very small.

The garden was very nice. Bed, pillow, sheet etc. were clean. Family hospitality is very good. Lighting was good. Wifi is good.

Staying at this homestay is definitely worth every penny. The family who owns and runs it is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, adding great value to your stay. Additionally, the owners offer tuk-tuk services, and they’ll drop you off and pick you up anywhere in the Ella area at a fair price. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience with a warm and welcoming touch.
