We had a great stay at ruchi house. The owners were very kind and helpful and made us feel really comfortable. The owner picked us up and dropped us off at the station for a small price. We ate dinner there both nights, the nicest Sri Lankan food we had eaten the whole trip, and the breakfast was also great. Location wasn’t amazing, but no problem as the owner sorted us out with a scooter for a good price.

The Owner was so kind! He was as kind as a Japanese worker. The room rate was so low and it was so comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and large portions. I'll come back to the hotel when I visit Nuwara Eliya next time. Thank you so much for being kind to me.

Sanjeewa and family really looked after me and made me feel welcome. The home cooked beef curry I had was so far the best I ate in Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

The owner goes out of his way to assist you, drive me around in his tuk tuk. The breakfast is western and Sri Lanaken style and plentiful. Big clean room with a good warm shower. Would recommend this place

An absolutely wonderful place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. The house was built in the 1970s and was the family house of Mr. Sunny. I felt like I was experiencing the life of Nuwara Eliya. I have never in my travels seen a house more lovingly maintained. It was I-MMA-CU-LATE! Mr.Sunny and his wife did EVERYTHING to make us feel special and we'll taken care of. You will really feel thar you have not come to a hotel, but that you are visiting your family. They are not hotel owners; they are hoteliers--gifted in the art if hospitality.

A kind and incredibly professional couple. The room was very large, perfectly clean, and tastefully arranged. Even the blankets and sheets smelled wonderful. The host was incredibly kind, and anything you needed was available. We also arranged our visit to Horton Plains National Park with their own tuk-tuk, and they even packed a very neat breakfast for us to eat inside the park. The location is excellent, close to Lover's Leap Waterfall and the Pedro Tea Factory, about a half-hour walk at most, or you can even take a bus. Overall, everything was at its best. We'll definitely miss the landlord, who was a true gentleman, and his kind wife. We hope to see them again.
