Lovely Homestay with a nice room! The owner was very friendly and attentive. The view from the home is beautiful - you can see the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka!

The room smelled musty, the walls and windows and curtains all had mould marks on them, the mattress felt old, and we had to buy a new adaptor for the two old-style round Type D plugs (the supplied adapter was too loose for Type G or I).

Beautiful house and gardens, great location to walk into town from, hot shower with excellent water pressure, lots of blankets.

No tissue papers, no Tea pot, no shower gel, no other tv channels except Srilankan which we can’t understand even for cooking they charge, more over the internet not at all working continuously. We want to stay in first floor to have good view but Dog urine so strong we can’t stay we ask them to change the rooms for that they change 2000 extra If Mrs.Fernades focus on giving the facilities instead of making money then the show will go on. Apart from these , if the correct then this place is very good. All the best

Host has not taken care of facilities of the place as thete us function in family. Hist knows some problem with hot water facility, wifi but she did not attend to it. We had cold water in bathroom except one day. Wifi also problem.

There's no hot water. They said 24 hour hot water available. But we had to wash with ice water. Before I came I called the owner lady to ask the way,but mostly call is not responding.I told it to her but she didnt agree with it. Room is very small and window locks are broken,unsafety. And the owner and the family members also in same place. So feel like not have freedom. Not more valuable for the price finally. I was disappointed.

I like the garden of this location and the view. The floor of the room is also wooden made,its nice. There are some arts on the walls,its make pleasant feeling,Bathroom looking good

The House was cold inside from the first day, with the bedroom too was very cold having no fitted as standard heating facilities, in a location at the time of year is both very cold & damp. Even with the two blankets supplied, the ambient room temperature was way below acceptable to have had comfortable, warm & uninterrupted sleep during the stay. When mentioned to the Host, on the first day, the response was to offer a self standing Heater for which an additional charge was required. This extra charge, to heat up a Cold room to an acceptable comfortable/warm level to stay and sleep, was NOT mentioned prior to booking, to accept or reject at the time of booking. The Shower unit had temperamental hot water operation, which without warning, suddenly mid shower switched to cold water only. It took a long time to adjust the hot water to temper up the flow to maintain a comfortable shower water running temperature, even then, it on many occasions, suddenly turned without warning into a cold shower. The Shower room itself did not have heating facility, as with the bedroom, making the stay there uncomfortable. A Television Fitted on the wall, but it did not operate at all, during the entire period of the stay. All These inadequacies were mentioned to the Host, but only feeble excuses were given but nothing positive was done to rectify any during the entire stay.

The water heater is either too small or broken, the hot water doesn’t last a few seconds till it gets freezing again , there is no kettle or cups in the room , no toiletries for those unprepared , you gotta pay for the breakfast and the coffee separately which is weird

There were no bed sheets under the duvet. No toiletries nor towels were provided. My brother and I had an allergic attack in the middle of the night due to the dust. Moreover the house owners were also in the house with us, this was not clear when I booked.

The garden was very beautiful and the house is walking distance from the centre city.

Fabulous location just a five minute walk from the town center. This is a beatifully maintained, furnished and decorated homestay with a magnificent garden and incredible view towards Mt. Pedro, Sri Lankas highest peak. The Owners will provide breakfast and dinner, of an excellent quality, if you order in advance. A must stay for travelers, families, small groups and Pekoe Trail hikers who want to experience a warm welcome and traditional Sri Lankan hospitality. Forget the higher priced hotels and stay here if you want truly great value for money.

The hotel is situated very close to the city center and is easily accessible. The room was fantastic, and the owner is a very friendly and nice lady. The bathroom is really nice, and the water pressure along with the hot water facilities are superb.
