Bed was very comfortable. Although the property is quite old, but bathroom was renovated well. It has got a very English feel to it. Staff were kind.

This gorgeous old colonial bungalow makes for an ideal stay in Nuwa Eliya. Freshly painted with its own garden filled with flowers and white painted iron furniture, it's a quiet and very welcoming oasis. Take your welcome tea in its china cup and sit in the sun. My room was very spacious and well provided for, even if the decor is not to my taste; a big bathroom with lashings of hot water. Above all the staff were very helpful and really made a difference I would certainly return here.

the garden outside is a marvel, you feel teleported in another century; the interiors are lovely and the rooms spacious; position is great, 2 minutes walk from victoria park. two more outstanding things: for an issue they couldnt serve breakfast, so the manager walked us to a close cottage and served us breakfast there and secondly (but most important) i forgot my camera battery there and they arranged a delivery within 24 hours in Colombo to be sure i could receive it. Great staff, great place!

Such a great place! Comfy beds, very traditional house. But the best was the fire Baanugan made for us in the garden! We had such a great family night around the fire. Complements to Baanugan and also the chef, both are the best hosts!!

There was some mould in the bedroom wall

We had to go to the sister hotel for breakfast as chef was away . Breakfast was tasty and adequate. The lady who served us was very friendly

Breakfast was terrible & service staff was poor. We requested to have it early on departure day but it was all served cold. Service by the Manager and Receptionist (Baanujan) was exceptional but would suggest to tone down their hospitality a bit as it can get overwhelming - But it's a positive for many.

It was all amazing - Location, Rooms and Service! Loved their outdoors with well kept gardens and lounge areas. Rooms were huge and nice views. Arranged transportation and tours for us, Driver was really friendly too and was a great experience. We'll be staying here for our future visits - If we get similar rates to match the overall value offered.

oh! Royal Cocoon is really another level of experiance. You enter in to the past the moment you enter the building. Everything saved from almost 180 years of different times!! You have real fireplace in your huge old room!!! Right next to HUGE bed! I didn't meet such cozyness in any London hotel! =) The stuff are really at it's place. They give you really royal experiance! You make food order with cheff, you are most welcome at anytime. Wonderfull stay!

The accomodation was beautiful, a big colonial house, so different than any other place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The staff was very friendly and professional. Everytime we walked by them they were up for a chat and gave some tips for a nice walk around the city. The bed was very comfy!
