I recently stayed at Rosenka Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers excellent facilities that cater to both comfort and convenience. It truly felt like a home away from home — cozy, quiet, and welcoming. One of the standout aspects was the price. For the level of comfort and service provided, the rates are very reasonable, making it a great value for money. The staff were polite, responsive, and always ready to help, which added to the overall positive experience.

We loved staying with Jagath for three days. He and his family were so warm, welcoming, and helpful. He had good knowledge of the local area and gave us good recommendations, and organised our transfer to Tangalle. The food was incredible. Jagath’s wife cooked 5 or 6 different curries every night, which were all delicious. Rooms are simple and clean with wonderful views of the landscape. The train track runs just below the property so you can see the train a couple of times a day (no noise disturbance though). Thank you Jagath for taking such good care of us!

Our room was a little draughty but we were given plenty of extra blankets. The weather was pretty cold and most of the time I'm sure you wouldn't even notice😀

The family were very helpful and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was very nice and the views superb. The location is perfect for walking.

Everything was perfect!

Jagath is the most helpful and friendly host. And what he can’t offer, he hands over to his wife. She’s the powerhouse in the kitchen. What a meal! We had dinner on both nights. So delicious and exciting to see the food on the table. What a treat. There’s no WiFi here, so bring your own data, or ignore your phone and rather focus on the view. If mosquitos are a problem, Jagath will provide a net. We slept so well, and we visited twice in two weeks. Can definitely recommend this Homestay. We’ll be back!

Guys! You have to come to this place! Owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet, the room and bathroom were absolutely clean and the view in this place is amazing 🤩 and the food! Oh, the food is the best I've tried in Sri Lanka. You can tell they put their heart in everything they do!

The family running the Rosenka are wonderful people. Cooking lesson, beautiful breakfasts and dinners at very reasonable price. The view is stunning. We had a medical emergency in the middle of night and they were so kind and helpful.

We booked one night in Rosenka and than one more,because we felt so good and welcomed there! We were surprised by excellent dinner when we came to the accomodation (it was the owners daughter celebration) and the whole family was very friendly and communicative and helpful. We felt at home with them. Our rooms were elegant, clean and had magnificent view to the valley and mountains. They give us extra blankets not to feel cold at night. We could choose from two types of tastefull breakfasts and got a lot of interesting information about Sri Lanka and Haputale. It is close to Lipton's Seat and beautiful Diyaluma falls from Haputale. We can recommend Rosenka for 100%!!!

The rooms were separated by wooden walls, so you can hear the conversations of the adjoining rooms. Which is a disturbance specially in early mornings.

The view is excellent in the balcony rooms. Mr. Jagath and his wife was very kind and helpful.

Clean, and well kept property. Rooms and bathrooms are spotless, with working hote water . The staff are friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. The over stay is well worth the price and would highly recommend....... 💚💙

I think that the toilet inside the drainage pipe should be covered by some suitable thing.

While the room provided a spectacular view, the price for this was a rather exposed position with quite a lot of wind noise. For similar reasons there was some minor water leakage from rain driven through the windows by the wind. This did'nt bother me, but it might some guests.

The room had an excellent view over the valley - albeit obscured by the mist much of the time. The food menu was overall good value for money.

No hot water, some ants in the bathroom but as usual when we book rooms for this price.

The owner is very nice and welcoming, even if a bit insistant when it comes to take photos of us without telling us in advance.
