Basic rooms but clean and good value. What was very valuable to us, was that the super cheerful host Mithi helped a lot with organizing things: transfer from Tangalle to Tissa, from Tissa to Ella, visit to Bundala NP and to Yala NP, all for fair prices. In particular, the communication about these arrangements with Mithi was swift and clear (which isn't always the case when trying to arrange things upfront with others in Sri Lanka). Also, they were happy to help out with free transport between town and hotel.

Amazing location for a night before and after safari! Room is very spacious and clean, as is the bathroom. The host is extremely friendly and willing to help organise safari and everything else you need during your stay. The food provided is really great value and the river view is very scenic.

If I return to Yala, I will definitely stay here again. Mithi is the best host in the world—she’s like a mom. She welcomed us with a refreshing passion fruit juice. She prepared dinner for us, and it was a fresh, homemade meal. We went on safari, and she packed a typical yet practical breakfast for us to take along. Her thoughtfulness made my stay truly special. She’s a warm and charismatic person. The place is beautiful, in excellent condition, right by the river, surrounded by lush vegetation that gives it a jungle-like atmosphere. It was very comfortable, and Mithi was attentive to all our needs. My trip through Sri Lanka has been amazing, but staying at this hotel was the cherry on top.

Quiet and scenic place beside a small river with lots of trees. The house appears very new and is of a high quality with high ceilings and big verandas. The beds were comfortable and in our shared bedroom we had plenty of space to open our luggage. The supplied facilities matched the description and there were plenty of electrical outlets and good WiFi. Even had a small fridge.

The welcome by Mithi and her husband was warm and friendly. The bedroom was amply large enough to accommodate two women with big suitcases and it had plenty of towels and amenities. We loved the huge terrace overlooking the river. It was quiet at night and it was nice to have aircon and fan. It was all clean and modern. Although in a quiet spot it’s not far from a town if you need anything. Also the delicious passion fruit drink Mithi brought us was wonderful. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure.

Would have appreciated a bath mat. And we had to aak for water once we were told not to drink water from the tap. If we needed anything Mithi was always willing to provide so there were no real issues.

Large & clean room, AC, private balcony, and staff super friendly and accommodating!

The rooms and bathrooms were very big and spacious, as well as very clean. The host was really lovely and accommodating, providing us with fresh juice and tea on arrival, arranging for our dinner and serving breakfast in the morning.

Everything was amazing! The host was the nicest person ever The best juices in Sri Lanka A great safari organised by her! Great food! Great vibes! Great time!

Very nice host and clean and comfortable rooms! The safari was well organised and we got super lucky seeing a leopard !

The room is large and clean. The bathroom is large and clean. The AC works well. The river runs past the rear of the room. We had dinner on the veranda, cooked by Mithi and it was delicious. Mithi also organised our national park visit and provided a packed breakfast. Superb value.

-big spacious room in new house -good beds, bedsheets and mattress -very good bath with hot water -menu for evening ( we order our dinner and got it after safari in Yala in the garden) at our time -beautiful small garden with different trees -river just near the house

Amazing staff that helped us out every step of the way proactively unlike any other stay I've been at. Very spacious room, well air conditioned, with a cute patio outside to enjoy your breakfast. They also helped to coordinate a safari where we got 5 leopard sightings, which was truly exceptional.

The rooms were very large and clean. The toilets were cleaner than expected. Everything was great. The host of the homestay was also very good to communicate with. Although we checked in very late that day, she waited for us all the time and provided us with large buckets of drinking water. That’s very helpful.

The host was very nice and helpful. She arranged a tour with an amazing guide and got us a taxi to our next stop. Absolutely loved our stay!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, which made my stay extremely comfortable. Great location close to Yala Safari. However, the highlight of the entire experience was the owner. She was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend this place:)

The host is really friendly and nice. She met us and explained everything about the room, and gave us some fresh pineapple juice as a welcome drink. The room itself was clean and comfortable with a nice huge balcony. The price meets the quality. :)

Host arranged safari and provided packed meals for Safari. She was very accommodating and provided home cooked meal for toddler. We could not spend much time in property since our stay was short in Yala but the location is beautiful.

It's a very quiet area, a bit away from the business of the city. Exceptionally welcoming host, she helped us to organize safaris and food delivery and was always available within a few minutes to reply. The big room with a private balcony was perfect to relax after safaris.

It’s a great location right on the river. Very modern and spacious with comfortable beds and air con that works. The owner is charming and arranged a boat trip on Tissa Lake ,this is a must do ,so worth arriving early .The wildlife was amazing including numerous birds ,bats and a crocodile 🐊 Pleasant stroll into town . Good breakfast and dinner readily available from a local restaurant who do delivery.

Very friendly owner. She gave us a free ride to a nice Indian restaurant. The room was clean and spacious as well. She also arranged the full day safari in Yala National Park.
