Unfortunately there was no AC and the fan too loud to sleep with so we had to open the door and window in the night.

We had a great stay! The location is very nice, the natural pool bellow the waterfall is an amazing experience and they had good recommendations. The room was good.

The Waterfall is cool. Also, the host family is really kind! They did everything they could for our comfort. After the first night, they gave us a free room upgrade because the better room was empty. In the end we couldn't pay in cash (in ruppees) so they offered us to pay in usd. The breakfast was always dufferent and always delicious. They order you a tuktuk for a good orice (1.5 usd) to the town!

Little paradise in the woods with a waterfall.breakfast was delicious and we try the champis Cooking class during our stay which is remarkable.. they have recommended drivers for the day tours and taxi services for a fair price.. highly recommended place and will come back again

Everything nice and perfect . The owners were friendly and helped us with everything. The waterfalll in the backyard was the jem. And the cooking experience with Champi was amazing. We will definitely come back.

We couldn’t fault anything.

We enjoyed the surroundings & our room over looking the waterfall. The waterfall has a nice relaxing area & you’re able to swim. Breakfast was large with fruit & Sri Lankan dishes. Having access to a Tuk Tuk for a fair price up the hill into Ella. Our host also packed a light breakfast for our early checkout for the train.

It's a hilly 1.5 km to town. Easy to get there and back by tuk tuk.

Lovely views. Balcony overlooking the river. Access to waterfall pools for bathing. Also, it's possible to hike direct from the property to Ella Rock.

1 mile into town so be prepared with own transport - but owner will call you a tuk tuk straight away if needed as they are so helpful - to be honest we liked being away from the town so it’s just a warning rather than a negative

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at River Spendor, the rooms were excellent and very clean. The view from the balconies over the waterfalls and forest were great. We took the cooking class and it was really fun, also the nicest curry we had on our 2 week trip. The location is great for popping in and out of Ella town - very easy in a Tuk Tuk. Thank you very much for an excellent stay.

People to go to the waterfall there is not much safety things are there. This is not a bad thing but sometime elderly people finding hard to go up down

The deluxe family room was clean, spacious and had the best balcony which easily fit our group of 7 to sit with a drink and listen to the rushing water of the waterfall below. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Everything was really perfect. There is nothing to say.

First of all the location is absolutely beautiful new a waterfall, the garden is spotless, the view from our room was the highlight of this accomodation. The host was very nice and cooked a delicious dinner for us and the breakfast included was the same. Even the house’s Labrador was very friendly with us. We highly recommend to choose this stay for visiting Ella.

The location was really great! It's by the waterfall and within 5 min you are in the centre of Ella. The owner are very friendly and speak good english. They also provide lots of things to do such as a cooking class, waterfall tours, nine arch bridge and more! It is also possible to eat breakfast and dinner at the homestay.

What a view! I mean really, come-on it’s Spectacular. Right next to a waterfall. You could simply connect with Mother Nature. Experience a variety of Birds around the area. About The Host, lovely set of people, they tried to accommodate our request, even at the late hours by changing the next day’s breakfast menu, so that my youngest son could have SriLankan Hoppers. Couldn’t thank her while we were checking out. Thank you very much. We had a lovely vacation being in part of your (home) accommodation.
