This place is well located: close to the main road (so you can always reach the nearest supermarket by walking), close to the beach, but far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful. Very nice host, so friendly and helpful. They serve great breakfasts, some of the best I have had here. Also they can help you with your laundry. We got our clothes back perfectly washed and smelling great. The room itself was nice and had a spacious balcony which was nice to sit on in the evenings.

Rooms are very clean, and the bathroom has an amazing shower with hot water and amazing pressure. Mostly, what counts the most is the hospitality of the owners. Breakfast served on your balcony is also an amazing add-on. I would definitely return here.

We felt so comfortable here that we extended our stay twice. The lady of the house in particular took great care of us, but her husband and children were also always friendly to us. The varied breakfast was really delicious - the best dhal I've eaten in two months in Sri Lanka! 😊 We also could use the laundry service on request (also recommended, our laundry came back clean and smelling good!). The family was also so kind to provide us with a very good lunch free of charge after the whale-watching tour, because we missed breakfast😊 The next time we are in Mirissa, we will definitely stay at the Resort of Happiness again! Value for money more than reasonable.

Although the breakfasts were filling, they got a bit repetitive towards the end of our 7 night stay. The family was nice, but the host didn't seem to have time for us. Her demeanour didn't match the expectations you might have, givens the nane of the place.We like to engage more. The host was a bit stingy with tea bags for the room.

We've stayed here before, so knew what to expect. Booked a deluxe this time, and you could see the improvement from a standard. The bathroom, the fridge, the bed with mosquito net, and the balcony were all splendid.

Not much

The host is very nice and will go out of her way to make your stay great. Close to the beach but far enough away so that you don't hear any loud music at all. The breakfast is maybe the best breakfasts we had during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka! The room was very spacious and had a really good balcony. Big fridge freezer too which is a nice to have. It was my partner's birthday during our stay and the host even went to get a cake for her birthday breakfast at very short notice which made it a very special start to the day! Thanks again!

A lovely spacious room with super comfy beds, a fridge and the ability to make a cuppa. Breakfast was included (see picture) and we also had some laundry washed and dried. Great hosts! Delightful family. Recommend booking the whale trip through them too - a great excursion.

One day the water wasn't quite getting hot enough - but other than that, no complaints at all. Better than I expected from even the photos!

The rooms were so spacious and clean and the beds were so comfy! We were welcomed with a welcome drink, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was so delicious - the host even provided it for us after an early morning trip to go Whale watching in Mirissa. I'd definitely recommend as a clean, comfy, friendly place to stay while visiting the coast. It's close to shops and amenities and the main road. The host was so lovely :-)

One of two rooms was not very clean. Bathroom facilities are old and leaking.

Cost-effectiveness. Location - not too distant from the beach and from main road as well, though it's not noisy and you can sleep in the night. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful host organized us transportation and gave good advice on local activities.
