We liked all, to be honest. Regina and her staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. The room was big and clean, well working air conditioning and no mosquitos at all !! The meals we ordered there were fabulous and every time fresh prepared. The beach is like 100mt away from the bungalow, and it is just a wonderful beach, almost private (you can maybe meet 10 people per day or less). The garden around the accommodation is so well maintained and full of trees and flowers. You can relax on the beach under the private cabana or at the garden on the hammocks. Is true that there is a cemetery close to the property, but it is nothing that bothers you at all. They also have a night guard at the gate. We can absolutely 💯 recommend this place if you are visiting Trinco and want to relax in a peaceful place, avoiding the crowds.

Our only issue was that the property accepts only cash. Unfortunately, our bank cards didn’t work and it was difficult to access cash, as credit cards were not accepted.

A warm and pleasant welcome. The rooms, set within a beautiful private garden, were spotless and very comfortable. Waking up in the morning to nothing but birdsong made the stay feel truly special, a perfect retreat in nature. The staff were friendly, always smiling, and spoke good English. Other than that, the hotel has a wonderful private beach right in front of it. The city center is just 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk. If you are looking for a quiet, clean place surrounded by nature, this is the right choice.

It’s a bit away of everything. Owner was the exception to the sri lankan smile (maybe he had just a bad day) but ladies and staff very friendly.

A bit far from main town

Very friendy manager and staff. We had an accident and he helped us a lot and even came to the hospital. Pretty villas, nice beach with beds. Arranges nice things to do.

5 stars – A Hidden Gem with Amazing Service and Food We had a fantastic stay at Regina Beach Bungalow! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The place has a relaxed, authentic charm and is located right by the beach – perfect for unwinding. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional service. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and shared great tips about the area. The food was absolutely outstanding – probably the best we had in Sri Lanka! Everything was freshly prepared, full of flavor, and made with love. We looked forward to every meal. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot with personal hospitality, great vibes, and top-notch food, we highly recommend Regina Beach Bungalow. We would definitely come back!

This was our favourite accommodation after a month travelling through the beautiful country of Sri Lanka. There is everything to love about this property, plus more. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and so well maintained. Our room was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so kind and very attentive, always taking the time to chat to our toddler. The private section of beach is a 2 minute walk out the front of the property and is pristine with clear blue water and soft white sand, absolute heaven. The main street is a 10 minute drive away and can be reached by tuk tuk. The tranquil location of the property is definitely worth the short drive to and from. If you find yourself in Trincomalee, do yourself a favour and spend some time at Regina Beach Bungalow, you won't regret it. We liked everything about this accommodation. It is in a paradisiacal area, the staff is very attentive and helpful. The food is incredible, I recommend that you eat at the accommodation because you can enjoy the typical food. They also help you book activities with local people. The beach is magnificent, in addition the dogs there are very friendly, especially Juli is a very special dog that you can see on the beach and if you are there you can feed her and she is very grateful :) My whole stay was excellent!

We had aunts and geckos in our bungalow and also the smaller room we moved to later. The staff was highly supportive to remove the animals. Compared to other hotels value for money was low.

Nothing. It met my needs, was well managed and the team go out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

Set about 130m from the beach, this was exactly what I was looking as part of my short stay in Trincomalee. It's a short tuk-tuk ride into central Trincomalee, should you wish to visit the main town and local areas. The Regina has number of cabana's around the edge of a wonderful, well kept and established garden. A very short walk to the beach, which was stunning, and being low season was quiet. I probably saw more cows than people during a 3km beach walk. I chose breakfast as part of my booking and it was wonderful, setting me up for the day. Just sitting on the veranda and watching the local wildlife in the morning was incredible, and the palm squirrels are great entertainment for a piece of papaya. My room was spotless, the bathroom big and the shower perfect and the fridge/mini bar was well received. The Regina offers a great menu and I chose to have both lunch and dinner here each day. Puvan was a great host, and the supporting team wonderfully polite and helpful. They have a number of covered beach beds as well, alternatively chill in the garden on a sun bed or even a hammock. A wonderful stay, I am happy to recommend the REGINA BEACH resort based on my own personal experience.

The room is worth the price. The breakfast was not in our offer, but good nevertheless. As an element of improvement, some items on the menu are too expensive for swhat they are (sandwich, pancakes, etc.)

The price of food is definitely too high. We would have taken more meals if the cost was only slightly higher than in town. However paying 2.5 times more for the same dish is ridiculous. I hope the owner rethinks his strategy.

Difficult to find as it is remotely located. But we Wes still glad we stayed there.

Small boutique hotel but with clean rooms, great staff, and a quiet location. The staff is exceptionally attentive and helpful. We arrived very late in the night and they were able to offer us some sandwiches and fruit even though it was well past dinner time.

Very beautiful and quiet location just a couple meters to the beach. Breakfast on the bungalow terrace with the sound of the sea and very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was very good with delicious fruit. Very nice garden. Not too far away from the beach where boat trips to pigeon Island starts (maybe 15 min drive).

Absolutely lovely bungalow and the staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food is fantastic as well. It’s a 30 second walk to the beach which was great as well. They pulled out all the stops for our anniversary dinner which was truly amazing!
