Peaceful and truly beautiful home in a quiet neighbourhood of Anuradhapura. Still very easy to get around, with 200-500LKR TukTuk’s to nearby restaurants, the centre and historical landmarks. Prageeth was an excellent host. He served us an amazing breakfast and was there to support all of our needs, including organisation and transportation of our train journey. If you’re coming to Anuradhapura and want a place to relax, this is it!

Little private house in a nice garden - we would have stayed longer just to enjoy more time in the garden, on the hamac, at the gazebo for breakfast, or just playing with the kids. Our host - living just next door - made sure everything was perfect for us Beautiful Sri Lankan breakfast - and lunch or dinner on request - all home-cooked with fresh ingredients in front of us, and different every day. Some of the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Quiet residential neighbourhood but with PickMe app (on Sri Lankan SIM card), you are in town by tuktuk in 5mn and for 200 rupees (less than 1$)

Super spacious apartment with a kitchen, living room and the two rooms with AC. The owner was very kind and attentive, giving us a lot of information on what to visit and when, where to dine, and gave us a lot of nice insights into the history and the culture of the area. Breakfast was plentiful, simple, but great. Overall Prestiva Stay is such a nice example of the renowned hospitality of Sri Lanka, we highly recommend to stay here when visiting Anuradhapura!

The main thing keeping it from a 10 rating was the location, which is in an area of many gated houses and there aren't stores or restaurants just nearby, nor can you walk to the ancient city from there. So you need Tuk Tuk transport or bikes to go anywhere, but they have bikes to rent for a nominal fee.

The service was really great, for example we said we were washing our clothes and they set up a clothesline in less than an hour, very prompt and attentive and ready to make your trip a success. The driver that the property recommended (I think he is also the chef) was very great for exploring the ancient city. The facilities were clean and roomy.

Everything was beyond expectations! The property is spacious, beautifully maintained, and has a luxurious feel like a 5-star hotel. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every need was taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious—freshly prepared and always served on time. The rooms and common areas were super clean and organized. The location is perfect—very close to the main attractions, but peaceful and relaxing. The garden and outdoor seating areas were lovely for morning tea or evening chats. The ambiance, hospitality, and overall comfort made the experience unforgettable.

Nice accommodation. Two bedrooms were air conditioned and the living room had a fan. TV with satellite tv was available. Kitchen was available with refrigerator, electric kettle and rice cooker. There were other amenities available for a reasonable extra payment. A cot was provided for the baby also, which is a difficult thing to find in most of the places around Anuradhapura.

Breakfast we had was typical Sri Lankan fare with hoppers, curry, coconut sambal, roti, fruit. Excellent food and we even got a cooking lesson showing us how to prepare this at home.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. He offered us homemade dinner and we got to peek into the different local tastes at breakfast. PS. use the opportunity and ask him or preorder for homemade dinner. Host is very knowledgable guy. He took his time to talk about Sri Lanka and made many suggestions for our trip, for excample Ritigala Strict Natural Reserve - which we visited, Thank You for that! Room was also very nice and comfortable. Small improvment is to add a watermop, to dry the shower/toilet room after showering, but it seems to be the same in all Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful two days stay at Prestiva Stay in Anuradhapura. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and couldn’t be more pleased with the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
