Poomaz Peace Palace was brilliant. Located in the heart of Ella it was perfect for exploring all Ella has to offer. The room and facilities were excellent and the view from the balcony was exceptional. Poorna was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had via WhatsApp or in person. We would 100% recommend choosing Poomaz Peace Palace for a stay in Ella.

We had a very pleasant stay at Poomaz Peace Place in Ella. Everything was well taken care of, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality. One point for improvement would be the water pressure in the bathroom, which was quite low. Enhancing this would make the stay even more comfortable.

We spent two nights at Poomaz Peace Place in Ella and had a wonderful stay. Our thanks go to Mr. Seaan, who took great care of us and was very friendly. He also prepared two delicious breakfasts for us. The hotel is centrally located, very close to the center of Ella. All major attractions in Ella were easily accessible from the hotel. The quality and price were excellent.

The location of the hotel is perfect, really near the city center but without the noise of the road. The employee were very kind and available. the fact that you can do a landry during the stay is a real +. The beakfast was great ans they prepared us a take-away breakfast when we had to take the train at 7:20a.m.

Property is located in centre of the city where all the cafes are 2 mins walk away. Poorna, the host is a very responsive and will prepare one of the best breakfasts for you. Rooms are equipped with all the amenities and if you need any additional services, hosts are just a phone away. If you're in Ella, then Poomaz peace palace should be the destination for you.

The shower is solar heated so not as reliable. This should be noted when booking. Also no air-conditioning in room but said there was. They had ceiling fan and upright fan which was ok for me.

View from room was great, staff always smiling, breakfast was big and tasty, a little different over 2 days that l stayed. A little walk up a steep road 5 min from main town area.

Rooms are slightly dated and the bathrooms could do with a bit of a deeper clean or updating but this isn’t the end of the world. Also no air con but it is cool in the evening compared to other places. Your experience may vary.

Fantastic location. Ella is very very hilly. If you have mobility issues you need to be as close to the main road as possible (if you plan on going out). This has like a 5 minute (very steep) walk but it’s one of the closer places. We loved being able to walk down to the shops/bars/restaurants within 5 minutes. Staff were great and organised transfers. Gave advice for local excursions but weren’t too pushy.

You can enjoy perfect view and sunset from the big windows of the room. location is just perfect to go to the city center, translation, and bus to other cities. room was extremely clean and neat breakfast. The owner prepared breakfast even after 9am, so I could eat breakfast and take a bus to Galle afterward. thanks a lot!

Have to climb a bit over the mountain, if anyone has issue with mobility, can be an issue.

The bathroom is also spacious and could perfectly have something to stop the shower water from wetting the whole bathroom floor and toilet when someone is taking a shower... Also the staff guy who worked there couldn't advise us on going to the coast by bus. He said there was no bus and that he could give us a budget for a transfer... which is not true. I understand they want to support fellow local worker's to also profit from tourism, but people should be honest and always give the correct information. Nevertheless, we found info about the buses to the coast online and by asking on the street. So this wasn't a major problem for us!

Need to walk up very steep slope The hot water isn't hot enough due to not the limitation of solar energy, it takes more than 25min to heat up after the staff switch on the electricity to boil water It has 10% service charge The price is high when compared with other accommodation nearby

First impressions were amazing. Everything was great, has everything for short or longer stay. Close to the main road where everything happens. 3min walk from restaurant, bars etc..Apartment is so clean, comfortable, has a nice view to Ella rock, balcony, AC, towels, comfy beds , electric kettle, fridge. Host is available in any time. Highly recommend.
